EULA DEWITT

Rev. Dr. Eula DeWitt, EA, PhD, is proud to have served the IRS faithfully for more than three decades. The bureau allowed her to combine her passion for corporate America with her God-given gift for education, which thrilled her. She strongly believes that people are the greatest thing ever created; she always enjoys being of service to others. Dr. DeWitt started out as a field agent in 1981, the same year she graduated from the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and economics, and she remained in the position for the duration of her time there. Over the years, she also served as part of the organization’s Public Speakers Bureau and as an instructor for revenue agents.

When Dr. DeWitt wasn’t working, she was very active in her community. She was a missionary in Belize, England, Guyana, Jamaica and the West Indies, as well as Kano State, Jos State and Benue State, Nigeria. She was also a guest speaker at the Sixth Annual Convention at Hunter College, the president and vice president of the Toastmaster’s 21 Club, and a member of the Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New York and the Exploring Division of Greater New York. Further, Dr. DeWitt was a board governor of the Stuart Cameron McCloud Society and the director of the York College Alumni Association. She maintains roles like associate minister of the Bethel Baptist Church, missionary evangelist for the Wartburg Lutheran Home for Seniors, member of the Prison Ministry Team to Rikers Island through the Bethlehem Missionary Church, and leader of the Altar Workers Ministry to this day. Other current roles include tutor at York College, the City University of New York, Sunday school teacher at the Bethlehem Missionary Church and member of the First Corinthian Baptist Church.

To enhance her professional standing, Dr. DeWitt earned a PhD, DD and Master of Theology from Lighthouse Christian College in 2011, 2000 and 1998, respectively, and a certificate from Bethlehem Bible College in 1990. She became a certified enrolled agent through the IRS in 2007, and a notary public in the state of New York through the Division of Licensing Services. Dr. DeWitt often sought to connect with her peers by authoring newsletters and contributing to articles in professional journals. Additionally, she obtained leadership positions with the Institute of Management Accountants, Inc., such as vice president of professional education, president and member of the board of directors. Rev. Dr. Stanley Kidd was a teacher, pastor and mentor to her and helped her grow spiritually.

In her spare time, Dr. DeWitt enjoys photography and reading.
