Elizabeth Hadley Frattini, a native of Dorchester, Massachusetts, has built a career defined by leadership and innovation in health care information technology through her long-standing service at Medical Information Technology, Inc., known as Meditech. Her journey reflects a steady progression of responsibility, marked by a focus on improving clinical solutions for health care providers and strengthening the teams that deliver them.
At Meditech, Ms. Frattini is the director of clinical solutions within the implementation and service division. In this role, she oversees the clinical applications relied on by health care professionals across a variety of settings. She leads teams responsible for implementing and supporting Meditech’s software platforms, focusing on rebuilding processes using SQL and enhancing support for clinical applications to ensure hospitals and clinics receive efficient and effective solutions.
Ms. Frattini’s academic foundation prepared her to meet the demands of an evolving field. She earned a Master of Business Administration in information technology from Franklin Pierce University. She also completed coursework in the clinical informatics master’s program at Northeastern University, where she deepened her knowledge of health care data systems. Earlier, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in modern languages with a concentration in Spanish and a minor in business studies in management from Providence College. To complement her formal degrees, she earned a project management certificate from the University of Massachusetts Boston and remains active in professional development, now pursuing certification as a neuroscience coach.
In addition to these achievements, Ms. Frattini’s leadership experience extends through earlier positions of increasing responsibility. As senior manager of application specialists, she directed teams tasked with configuring and deploying management information systems for health care organizations. She expanded the configuration team from a handful of members to nearly twenty and launched customer visits that built stronger connections between technical staff and end users. These efforts improved communication, increased efficiency and left a lasting impact on both staff and clients.
Ms. Frattini also worked as manager of application specialists while working simultaneously as project manager, guiding teams through software configurations while coordinating complex implementation projects from contract signing to successful go-live events. Her earlier tenure as project manager allowed her to strengthen her leadership skills by overseeing large-scale deployments and refining her ability to solve problems under pressure. Before this, she was supervisor of application specialists, guiding teams through critical phases of software adoption.
Ms. Frattini began her professional path as a specialist before advancing to senior application specialist. In these roles, she traveled throughout the United States, Canada, the Bahamas and Hawaii, teaching physicians and clinicians how to use Meditech platforms. This experience gave her both a global view of health care delivery and a strong appreciation for building cohesive teams that value collaboration and leadership at all levels.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Ms. Frattini volunteers with Ruff Tales Rescue, demonstrating her commitment to community service. She also enjoys golf and baseball with her spouse, Tony. Looking ahead, she is focused on advancing her career toward associate vice president roles while developing innovative initiatives such as “Meditech as a Service Division,” a vision that seeks to make cloud-based software solutions more accessible to rural hospitals.
Ms. Frattini’s career illustrates perseverance, adaptability and a passion for advancing health care through technology. Her blend of academic achievement, professional leadership, and civic involvement underscores her dedication to ensuring patients and providers benefit from secure, reliable, and innovative information systems.
