Elizabeth Hadley Frattini is an experienced and dedicated professional with more than 20 years of experience in health care information technology (IT). As a director at MEDITECH, she is responsible for clinical solutions teams in the MEDITECH as a Service Division. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a history of collaborative leadership and a talent for cultivating teams. She is an enthusiastic and driven strategic thinker with strong communication skills who performs well in a busy and ever-evolving environment. She is passionate about bridging the gap between technological and clinical mindsets and is uniquely accustomed to developing support plans to maximize efficiency and drive process improvement.
Ms. Frattini earned a Master of Business Administration from Franklin Pierce University and holds a certificate of project management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. In addition, she has participated in the Clinical Informatics Master of Professional Studies program at Northeastern University. She strives to be an agent for positive change in the lives of women in health care information technology. Her passion for coaching and connecting with people helps others grow their careers and strengthens the teams she leads. When not behind the keyboard, she can often be found on a golf course, at a baseball game, or volunteering her time with a foster-based, volunteer-run dog rescue. She also values spending time with her family and friends.
When considering her growth, Ms. Frattini attributes her success to a combination of personal drive, eagerness to learn, and the support of the individuals she has worked with and for throughout her career. Her diverse travel experiences have also played a significant role in shaping her both professionally and personally. These experiences helped her develop independence, self-awareness, and adaptability. Interacting with a wide range of individuals in health care and IT across the country has given her valuable perspectives that continue to influence her approach to work. She remains grateful for the people she has met along the way and sees each encounter as a learning opportunity that contributes to her ongoing growth.
Ms. Frattini chose to pursue a career in health care technology because she believes both health care and technology are fundamental to society and will continue to grow in importance. The stability and evolving nature of the field initially attracted her, but she also developed a genuine interest in using technology to improve health care outcomes and experiences. She finds fulfillment in making a meaningful impact, whether by providing support, listening, or offering guidance. Her passion is also personal. Having experienced her mother’s battle with breast cancer, she understands the importance of accessible and reliable health care systems. While she does not have a clinical background, she is deeply committed to ensuring that patients, especially her loved ones, have access to secure and efficient health information systems. She views her work as contributing to a better health care experience for all by improving how medical records and information are shared.
In five years, Ms. Frattini envisions herself continuing to grow professionally, with the goal of advancing in a leadership role. She is especially focused on the development and expansion of the MEDITECH as a Service Division, a strategic initiative offering health care software as a service (SaaS). She is passionate about extending this service to small, rural, and critical access hospitals, many of which lack the IT staff and resources of larger health care organizations. By providing a simplified, cloud-hosted solution, she believes MEDITECH can significantly improve operational efficiency and the user experience for these facilities. Her vision includes not only building and mentoring high-performing teams but also helping the division thrive in ways that advance health care IT as a whole.
