Looking toward the future, Ms. Fernandez intends to stay on in her current position, working to continue to improve the state of health care. She has been particularly interested in how the COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increased emphasis on quality in the field. Her ultimate goal is to help the Inland Empire Health Plan be a gold standard for quality among health plans. Attributing much of her success to her drive, Ms. Fernandez is also incredibly grateful to the mentors she has had throughout her career and considers the highlight of her career to be the collaborations that have led to the solid professional network that she has established for herself.

In 2017, she was named both a Professional of the Year and a Woman of Excellence by Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide, having previously been inducted into the Tier of Excellence by Oxford Who’s Who in 2015 and recognized as a featured member of Covington Who’s Who in 2014.
