Known for her ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and lead with integrity, Ms. Chen currently serves as a certified professional controller and business controller at Atlas Copco Power Technique North America, a role she has held since 2021. Based in South Carolina, she oversees critical financial operations, supports strategic decision-making, and ensures the company’s financial stability.
Ms. Chen’s educational journey has been instrumental in her professional achievements. She holds a master’s degree in management science and engineering in finance from Nanjing University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Southeast University. Her unique combination of financial acumen and strong communication skills has enabled her to effectively bridge technical and human elements of leadership.
Ms. Chen’s professional journey within Atlas Copco has been both dynamic and international. She was the regional business controller for Southeast Asia, operating out of Chachoengsao, Thailand. In this role, she managed financial strategies across several countries, gaining invaluable insight into diverse cultural business practices. Her appreciation for cultural diversity and collaboration has been a consistent theme throughout her career, shaping her leadership approach and enhancing her ability to build cohesive, high-performing teams across borders.
Ms. Chen’s earlier role with Atlas Copco placed her in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China, where she worked as a business controller and analyst for the underground rock excavation division. There, she specialized in financial analysis and planning for the construction and mining sectors, building a solid foundation in operational finance. Her ability to blend technical financial expertise with strategic vision distinguished her as a rising leader within the company.
Before joining Atlas Copco, Ms. Chen spent six years at Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. (Ford Motor Company) in Nanjing, where she served as an operation analyst and later as treasury team lead. This formative experience introduced her to the fundamentals of financial operations in a fast-paced, multinational environment and helped hone her skills in forecasting, treasury management, and financial reporting.
