Throughout her career, Dr. Jamaspi has been recognized for her resilience and determination. As the only woman in her family to obtain an education and marry, she overcame significant personal and familial challenges, such as navigating a complex visa situation while completing her dissertation independently after relocating at age thirty with minimal support. Her perseverance not only earned her the pride of her academic director but also marked a milestone of independence within a conservative background.

Dr. Jamaspi’s professional excellence is further evidenced by her first-place achievement in Mumbai for her project on psychometric testing instruments for personnel selection and organizational development. Dr. Jamaspi attributes much of her success to the sacrifices made by her mother—a pioneering woman who graduated college despite societal expectations but had to relinquish her ambitions due to marriage. Inspired by her mother’s struggle for independence and unwavering emphasis on education, she was motivated to pursue academic excellence and advocate for women’s empowerment. Her father’s support also played an important role; however, it was her mother’s determination that most profoundly shaped Dr. Jamaspi’s values regarding autonomy, education and decision-making.

Beyond her primary pursuits, Dr. Jamaspi has demonstrated longstanding civic engagement as an instructor with the National Association of the Blind from 1997 to 2012, a commitment that began during college when she regularly visited schools for visually impaired students to read aloud. Additionally, she supports animal welfare as a donor to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Dr. Jamaspi is also an accomplished author with works such as “Depth on the Surface” and “Difference Scores as Predictors in Linear Multiple Regression: Comparison with Model Fit,” published in 2015.

She was also honored with first placement for the psychometric selection test at the University of Madras in 2012. Looking ahead, Dr. Jamaspi aspires to become a published author, work within academia as an adjunct teacher or professor and engage more deeply with community outreach. She likewise aims to support children’s education through inner-city schools or community programs.
