
Anna Danielle Dean, RID, WELL AP, is an accomplished senior interior designer specializing in commercial properties. Since 2023, she has contributed to Manning in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has successfully managed a diverse range of commercial projects, overseeing all phases of design from pre-design through construction administration. Her expertise spans many areas of her field, including corporate, education, transportation, civic, financial institutions, health care, worship areas, and product design. Ms. Dean’s dedication to her industry is further exemplified by her role as vice president of professional development for the International Interior Design Association, a position she accepted in 2024, as well as by her involvement with the Commercial Real Estate Women Network.
Alongside her primary role, Ms. Dean has been the owner and operator of an interior design consulting business since 2021. Her business primarily focuses on small interior design projects and includes graphic design work for resumes, portfolios, and logos. From 2022 to 2023, she served as an interior designer at Carver & Associates in Atlanta. Before that, she was a designer level 2 with ShawContract in Cartersville, Georgia, from 2021 to 2022. Ms. Dean’s career also includes a tenure as lead interior designer at Novus Architects in Atlanta from 2019 to 2021 and as a designer with ShawContract in Cartersville from 2017 to 2019.
Ms. Dean laid a solid educational foundation for her professional achievements, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design with a minor in architectural history from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2017, where she received several academic and achievement honors. Additionally, she holds multiple certifications, including an NCIDQ certification, registered interior designer status, WELL AP certification, and a certification in diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Ms. Dean is actively involved in civic organizations, such as AT&T Pioneers and IIDA Georgia, and volunteers with the United Service Organizations, Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society, and the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Reflecting on her path, Ms. Dean acknowledges the pivotal role her family played in shaping her career. Growing up in a nurturing environment with her mother, a registered nurse, and her grandmother, who cared for elders in their family, instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and service. Ultimately, Ms. Dean chose interior design, as it allowed her to express creativity while maintaining a balanced lifestyle. She believes her self-starter attitude and driven personality set her apart in her field, and she describes herself as a “go-getter” determined to achieve her goals.
In her personal life, Ms. Dean enjoys traveling, attending music festivals, and visiting museums, and she values continuing education and volunteerism. Looking to the future, she aims to further develop her design skills and become an effective leader within the industry. She is currently pursuing her architectural license and has developed valuable leadership skills, allowing her to guide and mentor other designers effectively. She also aspires to continue growing within Manning and hopes to transition into a leadership or management role in the future.
