ALYSSA GLEASON

Alyssa Gleason

Alyssa Gleason is a pharmaceutical industry consultant and project manager specializing in immuno-oncology and cancer therapies. Currently, she is a project manager for SAI MedPartners, LLC, a global firm created to advise health care institutions, researchers, and manufacturers on everything from navigating emerging markets to creating long-term research and development strategies. She joined the company in 2018 as an analyst and had risen to becoming a senior consultant by the end of 2019. Ms. Gleason has occupied her current position as a project manager since 2020. Her role offers her the chance to meet with some of the leading voices in cancer treatment and research, including professors from Harvard, Yale, and UCLA, and oncologists from around the country, in order to stay on top of trends in development and present an accurate impression of the market climate.

Though Ms. Gleason had dreamed of a career in medicine since she was a child, prior to joining SAI MedPartners, LLC, she had turned much of her focus to her other passion, tennis. She began playing Division One tennis as a life science student at the United States Military Academy at West Point, where she drew attention for her outstanding skill and potential as a player and a student. During her years at West Point, Ms. Gleason was named to the dean’s list and presented with a Superintendent’s Award for Achievement, a Distinguished Cadet Award, and named Soldier of the Quarter twice. Though excelling at nearly everything the school asked of her, Ms. Gleason was forced to leave in early 2014 due to medical issues. She became a United States Professional Tennis Association certified teaching professional later that year, and began teaching professional tennis lessons, both independently and as an instructor for Cliff Drysdale Tennis at locations throughout Texas, Florida and Colorado.

Ms. Gleason returned to school at Pennsylvania State University, where she continued to build a reputation for academic excellence, making the dean’s list in 2015. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2016, and enrolled at Alvernia University to begin Master of Business Administration coursework. Inspired by the leadership role that she was asked to take on at West Point, Ms. Gleason found a passion for business leadership and corporate strategy, and completed her Master of Business Administration in 2017.

She considers her current role with SAI MedPartners, LLC, to be the perfect position for her strengths, tying her background in life sciences to her talent for business administration. Ms. Gleason cites the fast pace of the work and the constant opportunities to learn and create unique solutions to be her favorite parts of the job, and she hopes to continue to grow with SAI MedPartners and the pharmaceutical industry for years to come. She attributes her success to her determination and perseverance in the face of numerous challenges, and to the support of her family, the tennis community, and her faith community.

Outside her work with SAI MedPartners, LLC, Ms. Gleason remains a leader in the competitive tennis world. She is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association, and since 2019, she has served on the United States Tennis Association’s national adult competition committee and as chair of the national subcommittee for scouting players aged 18-39. As an active congregant at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Ms. Gleason had led small-group study and worship programs since 2019, and is involved with FaithCare, an organization sponsoring international medical missions. She has traveled to Nigeria as part of a FaithCare mission, and in early 2021, she became a member of the organization’s board of directors. Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Gleason most treasures the impact that her work has had on others across several industries, and she looks forward to continuing to help others.
