COLENE ALLEN

Colene Allen, DN, has dedicated more than 26 years to providing patients with alternative and holistic health care options as a provider at Holistic Alternative Solution. Inspired by her grandmother, a holistic medicine practitioner, and her childhood on a remote farm, Ms. Allen wanted to become a doctor since the age of 7. She holds a Master of Arts in holistic alternative psychology and became a Doctor of Naturology in 1998 through the American Institute of Holistic Theology. Ms. Allen holds numerous credentials in her field, and is a registered holistic counselor, a licensed massage therapist, a certified myoskeletal pain therapist, a certified traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and a board-certified holistic alternative psychology provider. She has pursued continuing education in massage and hydrotherapy at the Orlando Institute School of Massage, holistic counsel entitlement through the Total Person Institute, and most recently, balance and body in chemistry with whole food choices at the Texas Chiropractic College.

Ms. Allen’s practice focuses on pain and lifestyle management and helping patients make changes that can lead to large-scale improvements in their overall health and wellness. She is energized by the ability to address health complaints in ways that medical science has not yet been able to heal, and is passionate about working in conjunction with doctors and conventional therapies to find the right balance for each patient. Ms. Allen is the author of “Welcome Back Little Child,” which was published in 2001 and released in a revised edition in 2011, and hopes to write another book in the coming years. As a part of her commitment to constant growth and lifelong learning, Ms. Allen is a lifetime member of the American Institute of Holistic Health and Wellness and the Nutritional Science Association Board of Examiners, and is active in the International Minds Inspired New Dynamics System Association. In 2014, she was recognized by the National Accreditation and Certification Board of Holistic Alternative Psychology and named a Holistic Alternative Psychology Master by the American Institute of Holistic Health and Wellness.

Outside her practice, Ms. Allen is active in community service with her area Elks Club chapter, and is dedicated to faith-based humanitarian outreach, having dedicated seven years to her work as a Eucharistic minister and head of the Homebound Ministry at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Her dynamic career has not gone unnoticed, and she has been previously profiled in Cambridge Who’s Who and Executives Biltmore Who’s Who in addition to receiving honors from the International Women’s Leadership Association for her work on behalf of female executives.
