Ellen Moskowitz has found success as the president of Moskowitz Enterprises Inc., a role she has held since 2024. In this capacity, she oversees the strategic direction of her company, focusing on long-term planning for selling her personal artwork and managing daily operations such as monitoring emails and LinkedIn for relevant opportunities. She is also dedicated to creating and preparing abstract paintings for sale, integrating her artistic pursuits into her business activities.

Before founding her own enterprise, Ms. Moskowitz worked with Quest Global as a business development consultant from 2023 to 2024. During this period, she was instrumental in identifying and securing new business opportunities, leveraging her extensive background in payment technologies and product development.

From 2020 to 2023, Ms. Moskowitz served as the global lead for the Biometric Checkout Program within Identity Solutions at Mastercard. In this position, she directed the implementation of biometric authentication at the point of sale, leading cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhanced transaction security and user experience. Her expertise in biometrics positioned her as a key figure in advancing Mastercard’s global initiatives in secure payments.

Between 2016 and 2020, Ms. Moskowitz excelled as the global lead for the Biometric Card Program at Mastercard. She managed the development and deployment of biometric card technology worldwide, collaborating with international partners to ensure successful market adoption. Her leadership contributed significantly to Mastercard’s reputation as a pioneer in biometric payment solutions.

From 1999 to 2020, Ms. Moskowitz was active as the director of product development for consumer authentication at Mastercard. She played a pivotal role in launching services such as 3D Secure and Verified by Visa, which she marketed globally. Her efforts resulted in substantial revenue growth, with these ventures generating approximately $4 million annually until corporate restructuring led to a reduction in services. Ms. Moskowitz’s work included conducting due diligence on micropayment companies around 2000 to 2001 and spearheading research on global attitudes toward biometrics at the point of sale.

Ms. Moskowitz was previously appointed as the director of global products and solutions at Mastercard, where she managed product portfolios and led teams responsible for developing new payment methods and enhancing existing offerings from 1995 to 1999. As the senior director of American Express from 1984 to 1995, she held various marketing roles and earned a Series 7 license to sell investments and promote savings products. Her tenure was marked by significant achievements in both quantitative and qualitative research design, equipping her with deep insights into market positioning and consumer targeting. Ms. Moskowitz began her career as the director of the Ethnic Studies Project at Queens College, City University of New York from 1978 to 1982.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Moskowitz has demonstrated expertise in consulting, biometrics, new product development, point-of-sale systems, e-commerce authentication and biometric technologies, consumer research design, user experience and vendor due diligence. She is recognized for her ability to integrate emerging technologies into established businesses and for leading interdepartmental teams with open communication.

Ms. Moskowitz’s contributions have been acknowledged through several patents related to biometrics and authentication procedures, including a patent for methods and systems for authenticating an identity of a payer in a financial transaction in 2013 and a patent for systems and methods for monitoring computer authentication procedures in 2019. She played an integral role in developing the advanced version of 3D Secure, which is now widely utilized across Europe.

To support her professional assignments, Ms. Koskowitz pursued an education at Vassar College, where she completed undergraduate coursework in anthropology and geography in 1976. She continued her studies with a Bachelor of Arts in geography, summa cum laude, from Clark University in 1978. She concluded her formal academic efforts at the Yale School of Management in 1984, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in marketing and finance. Additionally, Ms. Koskowitz holds certification in artificial intelligence foundations: thinking machines from LinkedIn Corporation obtained in 2020.

Ms. Moskowitz attributes her accomplishments to strong decision-making skills and relentless drive. Her passion for developing feasible new services tailored to specific customer segments has fueled her commitment to emerging payments since entering the field in 2000. Her achievements have been recognized through multiple patent awards as well as an honor from American Express.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Moskowitz has contributed significantly through civic engagement, including as a coach with the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship since 2019. From 2023 to 2025, she was recruited to the board of One World Girl Inc., advocating for girls’ empowerment globally. Ms. Moskowitz also served on the advisory board for Trulioo at Mastercard Worldwide from 2014 to 2018 and volunteered with Girls4Tech promoting STEM education among young women.

In her personal life, Ms. Moskowitz is devoted to family as a proud mother of fraternal twin sons. Looking toward the future, she plans to focus on exhibiting her artwork locally and continue traveling—particularly considering destinations like Japan, Korea, and Europe. Moreover, Ms. Moskowitz aims to embrace new adventures inspired by her curiosity, creativity and resilience.
