Samantha Johnson

Steered by the values and ambition instilled by her parents, Samantha Johnson is a prominent accountant and leader who has become a trusted financial and strategical resource for individuals seeking to establish their own business and navigating major life decisions. In 2026, she founded My Samantha, a consulting business dedicated to empowering ambitious, high-performing young entrepreneurs to launch their dreams—and address any obstacles on their path to success, including personal debt, unorganized operations, and other urgent fires to stamp out. In this capacity, she provides strategies for everyday Americans through the company’s motto: “Face the truth. Build what’s next.”

Since 2021, Ms. Johnson has been active as the vice president of strategy and business relations at P.S. Business Services Inc., a company she co-founded in 2014 alongside her mother, Peggy, also a career accountant, with the initial mission of providing bookkeeping services to businesses across the country. Over time, she transitioned into a strategic role, focused on helping clients stay ahead of industry trends and anticipate market needs. She has since played an instrumental role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction, based on industry trends and helping clients remain competitive in an evolving marketplace. She continues to serve as a senior bookkeeper and portfolio account manager for up to 175 businesses now, utilizing her expertise to oversee the financial records of 50 to 60 clients concurrently since 2015.

Under Ms. Johnson’s leadership, the company experienced significant growth, expanding its client base from its initial roster to nearly 175 businesses nationwide with minimal advertising. Through her work, she has been pivotal in developing new marketing strategies and building a national network with certified public accountants, further solidifying the company’s reputation for innovation and client-centered solutions. A defining achievement in her career was her foresight in transitioning the company to remote P.S. Business Services to remote operations five years before the COVID-19 pandemic—the early adoption of remote work not only ensured business continuity during unprecedented times but also positioned the company as a forward-thinking leader within its industry.

Prior to launching her career, Ms. Johnson was active as a certified pharmacy technician across medical centers and served in the U.S. Air Force from 2010 to 2013, during which she earned an associate degree in intelligence studies and technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Master of Business Administration from Ashford University. She found success as an instructor sensor operator for the Global Hawk at Northrop Grumman—leveraging her intelligence background from her time in the military—and a program specialist at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, between 2013 and 2014, before bolstering her credentials further by attaining a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Ashford University in 2015. She credits much of her success to her father, Charles, who provided her with the insight and knowledge needed to make good decisions in her life, as well as the ambition to refuse to settle and to strive for something greater in spite of any challenges.

When Ms. Johnson started P.S. Business Services, it was largely out of love and passion for her parents. From a young age, her goal was to ensure they would be well cared for in their later years and not have to worry about financial matters. Co-founding the business with her mother has been a particularly significant achievement for her. Her mother’s passion has always been bookkeeping, but after she lost her job, her mother faced tough times—prompting Ms. Johnson to step in to help build the business. Now, thanks to her efforts, she has made it possible to care for her family. With this dream realized, Ms. Johnson is now focusing on pursuing her own passion.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Johnson is eager to grow her recently started consulting business. She intends to guide young people through the steps of starting their own businesses and making important life decisions that will affect them over the next five to 10 years. Her goal is to provide reliable consulting services tailored to everyday people. Additionally, she is currently working with Northwestern Mutual to become a financial adviser.
