Cheri Pavlik

With a career rooted in creativity, strategy and leadership, Cheri N. Pavlik has become a respected voice in business and construction. As director of business development at The Weitz Company LLC, she leads initiatives that drive growth, secure strategic partnerships and position the company for long-term success. She is responsible for managing requests for proposals and qualifications, conducting due diligence through strategic alliances, and working closely with senior leadership to implement company-wide goals.  

Ms. Pavlik holds a Bachelor of Arts in interior design from Michigan State University. Her education provided a strong foundation in aesthetics, planning and problem-solving, which later evolved into a broader understanding of the construction and development industry. The principles she learned as a design student remain central to her strategic approach, helping her communicate effectively with architects, engineers and clients while aligning design intent with business objectives. 

Before joining The Weitz Company, Ms. Pavlik was the vice president and director of business development at Leo A Daly. In that role, she was instrumental in expanding the firm’s visibility and winning major contracts through targeted outreach and thoughtful positioning. She also held the role of director at the same company, where her leadership was recognized with the Director Award, an acknowledgment of her outstanding contributions to the firm’s growth. 

Earlier in her career, Ms. Pavlik was director of business development at Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc., focusing on cultivating client relationships and promoting company capabilities in a highly competitive market. Prior to that, she served as vice president of planning and operations at Allied Capital and Development of South Florida LLC, overseeing multiple aspects of project execution and strategic planning. 

Ms. Pavlik’s entrepreneurial roots run deep. She founded Tranquil Interiors LLC, working as president and interior designer. This venture allowed her to develop both her design sensibility and business acumen, laying the groundwork for her eventual transition into larger-scale development and construction roles. Her diverse background enables her to bridge the gap between design intent and operational execution, making her an asset to any project team. 

A LEED Accredited Professional, Ms. Pavlik remains committed to sustainable practices in the construction industry. Her leadership also extends to community engagement. She serves as chair of the ACE Mentor Program of America, where she has volunteered since she began mentoring high school students interested in architecture, construction and engineering. Her advocacy helps young people pursue meaningful careers in fields that shape the physical world. 

Ms. Pavlik is also deeply involved in civic affairs. She serves as vice chairman of the Palm Beach County Zoning Commission and sits on the boards of the AIA Palm Beach Foundation for Architecture and Pandora’s Kids. Her past service includes a board position with Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation, where she helped promote leadership among professional women in the region. 

Looking ahead, Ms. Pavlik seeks to elevate her work to a national level while continuing to mentor emerging professionals in her field. Motivated by a deep sense of purpose and a drive to succeed, she remains committed to expanding her impact and creating lasting value for her clients, colleagues, and community.
