As the owner and president of Texas Land Surveying Inc. since 2013, Nicole Berry believes her entrepreneurial success is the result of her faith, resilience, and “scrappy” nature. Located in Georgetown, Texas, her company offers a variety of services, including residential and commercial title surveys, topographic surveying, municipal surveying, and construction surveying. Espousing the power of self-confidence in pursuing success, Ms. Berry was the owner of Castleberry Surveying Ltd. from 1995 to 2013. During her long career in the surveying industry, she has built a reputation as a leading expert, renowned for her integrity, professionalism, and commitment to accuracy.

Dedicated to treating employees at Texas Land Surveying Inc. fairly, Ms. Berry ensured that her staff received raises to support their families even during times of economic downturns. Moreover, she takes a customer-focused approach to all her endeavors and maintains her standard of operating as an ethical and effective professional. To this end, Ms. Berry’s clients often forgo competitive bids and approach her directly, trusting her to handle their needs with validity and competence.

Ms. Berry’s journey into the surveying industry began at Texas A&M University, where she completed coursework in psychology in 1988. Her tenacity and ability to adapt have always been critical to her success. Throughout her career, Ms. Berry has emphasized the importance of a positive and determined mindset and never considered failure an option. Her philosophy of finding ways to make things work has been a guiding principle in her business endeavors, allowing her to navigate the challenges and sometimes unpredictability of the market. Rewarded in her field for her professional excellence, Ms. Berry has set herself apart and maintains an unwavering commitment to fairness. She ensures that her team conducts their due diligence more rigorously than many other firms, establishing consistent boundaries and providing reliable services.

Ms. Berry’s leadership extends beyond her primary professional roles. As an active member of her community, in 2012, she served as the president and organizer of Georgetown Youth Lacrosse. In addition to this commitment, she has also been involved with her local church in Santa Barbara, California, and devotes her time as a volunteer to various charitable initiatives, including conducting coat drives for children, providing grub bags for kids, and offering meals in her community. When she is not working or giving to others, Ms. Berry often seeks a sense of satisfaction from spending her personal time ranching and gardening—activities that reflect her love for the outdoors and her connection to the land.

Proud of her family and being a mother, accomplishments that are closest to her heart, Ms. Berry shared that her daughter is a board-certified periodontist, and her son is pursuing graduate studies. While balancing her professional and personal life, Ms. Berry relishes her children’s successes and the role she has played in supporting their achievements. Looking to the future, professionally, she plans to expand Texas Land Surveying Inc. to include multiple offices in growth areas of Texas, particularly New Braunfels, one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States. Ms. Berry also aims to start another business there and is focused on training and bringing in more licensed surveyors to meet the increasing demand for her services. By branching out into new areas and mentoring the next generation of surveyors, she expects to continue shaping the surveying industry and upholding the high standards she has set throughout her career.
