Jennifer Rieck, a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), attributes her success to her knowledge and deep understanding of behavioral and relationship patterns that often drive mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression. As a passionate and dedicated therapist, she employs her expertise in schema-focused cognitive behavioral therapy to improve the lives of her clients and help them make positive changes.
In 2023, Ms. Rieck launched her mental health counseling business, Epijennetics Counseling & Consulting, in Libertyville, Illinois, to offer a more holistic and directive approach to mental health counseling – helping individuals get to the root of their mental health symptoms versus merely treating symptoms. Alongside this role, she is an LCPC with Grow Therapy, before which she held the same position at Living Pono Counseling for three years. Additionally, she has worked with Ammirati Counseling, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center, Bostwick Laboratories, and VCU Health System, among other organizations.
Ms. Rieck attended J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Virginia, earning an associate degree in 1999. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science in 2001. After garnering more than a decade of professional experience in health care, Ms. Rieck returned to school at Trinity International University, where she earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling in 2020. Outside of academia, she has remained steadfast in her pursuit of professional growth, securing more credentials as a nationally certified counselor, a licensed professional clinical counselor, and a certified clinical telemental health provider. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Illinois Mental Health Counselor Association, and the Illinois Counseling Association. She was also honored by the International Association of Top Professionals with the 2024 award for Top Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
Parallel to counseling and entrepreneurship, Ms. Rieck is committed to volunteerism in her community. She donates time as a volunteer at a local church, a mentor with Kids Hope USA, and a sponsor with Compassion International. Motivated in part by deeply personal experiences, Ms. Rieck is proud of her exceptional ability to help so many people. In the future, she hopes to organize her website’s content into a published book while continuing to enjoy being a celebrated and devoted counselor.
