Kim Sconiers

Living by the mantra, “Inspire others to go forth and be great,” Kim Sconiers has naturally excelled in leadership roles. Thriving in the fields of business management and organizational development, she has served as the manager of North America employee engagement at The Kraft Heinz Company since 2023. Ms. Sconiers initially joined the organization in 2021 as a senior analyst of United States talent management, remaining in the position until 2022. From 2022 to 2023, she served as a senior analyst of North America engagement. Concurrently, since 2021, she has been the learning and development co-lead of the organization’s Black Business Resource Group.

As a senior analyst, Ms. Sconiers helped to consolidate the Canadian and U.S. populations, forming the North American zone. In addition, she was responsible for identifying pivotal moments within populations to showcase how different offices displayed engagement through events and learning opportunities. Currently, as the manager of North America employee engagement, Ms. Sconiers has leveraged her experience as a senior analyst and applied her knowledge to larger-scale matters, including managing business processes and stakeholders. Furthermore, she collaborates with other managers in the organization to create a space for employees to network, preparing them for further growth and success. A proponent of diversity and equity, Ms. Sconiers also coordinates company orientation, discussing company culture and values to promote inclusivity. Likewise, the Black Business Resource Group is a company-wide internal group that focuses on the retention and development of Black employees at the organization.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Sconiers worked at R1 RCM in several capacities between 2017 and 2021, including as a human resources business analyst from 2017 to 2019 and a senior analyst for talent management from 2019 to 2021. Previously, she served as a regional financial analyst for the Ambulatory Surgery Division of HCA Healthcare from 2016 to 2017, a financial analyst at Orange Lake Resorts from 2014 to 2016, and an operations analyst at GCE from 2013 to 2014. While studying toward her undergraduate degree, Ms. Sconiers was a career ambassador in the Center for Career Services at her alma mater, Marymount University, between 2011 and 2013.

To prepare for her vocational journey, Ms. Sconiers first underwent coursework towards a Bachelor of Business Administration at Florida A&M University from 2009 to 2011. She then completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance at Marymount University in 2013. After spending years in her industry, she earned a Master of Arts in leadership and organizational development from Saint Louis University in 2018. To further her educational experience, Ms. Sconiers completed a certificate in diversity and inclusion for human resources at Cornell University. Recently, in 2023, she obtained the Black Management Accelerated Program certificate from the McKenzie Group.

For her success, Ms. Sconiers credits her steadfast commitment to her personal values and her ability to harmonize those values with those of the organizations with which she has worked. In this regard, she has always been naturally drawn to companies that align with her personal values, creating a deeper, more meaningful connection between herself and the company’s vision for success. To this end, Ms. Sconiers has emphasized that her work becomes more meaningful and fulfilling when she parallels her values with the company’s mission and purpose. Among her many career milestones, Ms. Sconiers is particularly proud of surpassing goals from previous years, which lent itself to helping employees adjust to their work environment and regain their momentum. As a result, Ms. Sconiers and her team successfully created a strong atmosphere of inclusivity, with everyone in the company feeling a sense of belonging and connection to the organization.

To remain aware of developments in her areas of interest, Ms. Sconiers has maintained an active affiliation with numerous organizations. To wit, she has been a member of the Southern Economic Association since 2011, having previously served as the secretary and the president of Ladies Inspiring Strength for Tomorrow from 2011 to 2012 and from 2012 to 2013, respectively. During her collegiate career, she was a member of Sigma Alpha Pi and the National Society of Leadership and Success as well.

In the coming years, Ms. Sconiers intends to establish her own consulting and coaching firm, where she will focus on middle management with an emphasis on managers of color, as she interprets this to be an area that is currently underserved. In this vein, she believes that coaching is a pertinent component of professional development, equipping employees with the knowledge and skills required to climb the corporate ladder and attain high-level, executive positions. Ms. Sconiers also states that by providing coaching at the early stages of employees’ careers, the employees gain a deeper understanding of the steps required to accomplish their goals and progress within their fields.
