Jenniffer F. Wilson, an award-winning expert in oversight of emergency relief programs, has excelled as a public servant, including most recently serving as the associate director of oversight and accountability for the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee, also known as Pandemic Oversight. Recognized as an accomplished leader in her field, she has experienced continual success since commencing her career more than 30 years ago.
Ms. Wilson joined the federal government sector in 1989, at which point she became an invaluable member of the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Inspector General. As time progressed, she also served in a succession of roles with the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) and the Defense Intelligence Agency. Ms. Wilson garnered additional experience with the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. She is currently serving as an expert at GAO’s Center for Audit Excellence.
Drawing on a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Ms. Wilson also holds pertinent certifications, including as a certified information systems auditor and a certified program manager in information technology. During her career, she has traveled worldwide, including on a two-year assignment in Afghanistan. She has also been recognized as a pioneering figure in governmental service, having served at the helm of changes through multi-agency and multi-country collaborations.
To remain abreast of developments in her areas of expertise, Ms. Wilson has maintained an active affiliation with numerous organizations. To this end, she is a member of the Association of Government Accountants, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. She has been bestowed with various accolades and decorations, including meritorious service awards, the Global War on Terrorism Award, several leadership and teamwork awards, and many other honors.
For her success, Ms. Wilson credits her position as an engaging, positive-leaning executive and her passion for oversight and accountability. She also emphasizes the significance of having a diligent work ethic, loyalty, and dedication to public service. Looking toward the future, Ms. Wilson aims to experience continued growth in her career with a particular focus on building the capacity of accountability organizations with international partners. She is currently working with accountability organizations in Ukraine.
