Autumn M. Clouse, MBA, achieved her GED diploma at just 16 and went on to further her studies with an associate degree from National College. With a longstanding interest in the straightforward nature of numbers, she subsequently matriculated at Strayer University, where she discovered her talent for discussing financial information in lay terms. Earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 2000, she concluded her formal studies with a Master of Business Administration in 2003. That same year, Ms. Clouse began her career as an accountant with The Physicians Centre Hospital, where she remained until 2005.
From 2005 to 2010, Ms. Clouse served Tomball Regional Medical Center as an assistant controller, returning in 2012 to take on the role of controller until 2013. Between these tenures, she was the senior financial analyst at Christus Health from 2010 to 2012. In 2013, she became the finance director for The Menninger Clinic. Throughout this period, she continued her education and became certified in adaptive planning by Workday, Inc. in 2016 and as a health care financial professional by the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 2017. Leaving The Menninger Clinic in 2018, Ms. Clouse spent the following year as the chief financial officer for the Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire until 2019.
In 2019, Ms. Clouse brought her expertise in budgeting and financial planning, accounting, financial reporting, and health care financial management to the Holly Hall Retirement Community as their director of finance. In this position, she is responsible for managing month-end closing, journal entries and reconciliations, as well as assisting auditors with their annual audit. Furthermore, she works with health care leaders to help them understand their finances and educate them on finance management. In order to keep abreast of new developments in her field, Ms. Clouse maintains membership with the Gulf Coast chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Attributing much of her success to her roughly two decades of experience, Ms. Clouse is also deeply grateful to the support of her husband, Randy Clouse. For her excellence, she was notably presented with the Pillar Award by The Menninger Clinic during her tenure there in 2017. As she looks toward the future, Ms. Clouse hopes to cement herself as a knowledgeable professional who people know they can go to for answers.
