Taelor Rubin

Taelor Rubin, CRIS, is a seasoned professional in the insurance industry with a specialization in commercial insurance. Since 2024, she has served as an assistant vice president and broker at Brown & Riding, where she plays a key role in providing risk management solutions. She also serves as director of special events for the Young Risk Professionals of Georgia. She began her career at Brown & Riding in 2014 as a technical assistant and steadily advanced through the company, holding roles as production assistant, production associate, associate broker, and account executive.

In addition, Ms. Rubin is the founder of Coverage & Clubs, a women’s golf league in Atlanta that connects women in the insurance industry through a shared passion for golf. Through this initiative she is committed to fostering a strong professional network and supportive community for women in the field. Laying a strong educational foundation, she earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration in risk management and insurance from the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi in 2015. She also earned a construction risk and insurance specialist designation from the International Risk Management Institute in 2023 and holds surplus lines insurance broker licenses in Georgia and Illinois.

During her time at the university, Ms. Rubin was an active member of the Ole Miss Women’s Golf Team, serving as captain in her senior year. Her experience on the golf course not only sharpened her leadership skills but also introduced her to the risk management and insurance program that would shape her career. Her academic and athletic achievements were recognized with multiple honors, including University of Mississippi Sponsor’s Athlete of the Month in 2013, Sponsor’s Athlete of the Week in 2012, and placement on the Southeastern Conference Freshman Athletic Honor Roll in 2012 and the All-Southeastern Conference Honor Roll. 

Moreover, Ms. Rubin is actively involved in civic organizations, serving on the board of the Young Risk Professionals of Georgia and previously working with City of Hope. Her dedication to leadership extends to academia, where she was a member of the executive board for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during college.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Rubin has experienced significant professional and personal growth at Brown & Riding. With the mentorship of her broker, she has gained confidence in her industry knowledge, allowing her to respond to inquiries with assurance. She has also mastered the technical aspects of insurance, including title work, and refined her ability to manage client expectations with clear communication.

A standout moment in Ms. Rubin’s career came when she shared her goal of becoming a broker with senior leadership. She was thrilled to discover that they had been anticipating this step and responded with immediate support and enthusiasm. She attributes her success to determination, perseverance, and the strong values instilled by her parents. Additionally, golf has played an unexpected role in her career, helping her build connections and further enhancing her confidence.

A guiding principle in Ms. Rubin’s life is a phrase her father instilled in her: “Winners never quit and quitters never win.” This mantra has shaped her approach to challenges, reminding her to persevere no matter the obstacles. She firmly believes that with hard work and perseverance, anyone can shape the life they want.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Rubin enjoys hiking and attending concerts. Looking to the future, she aims to become one of the top brokers at Brown & Riding while expanding Coverage & Clubs. She ultimately hopes to foster a supportive community where women feel empowered both on the golf course and in their careers. She is passionate about creating opportunities for women, using her platform to help elevate them in both golf and the insurance industry.
