Roxana Eli

From a formative age, attorney Roxana Eli desired to join the legal profession with a long-term goal of becoming a renowned judge. With her sights still firmly set on law, she attended the University of California Los Angeles, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in history and political science. Subsequently, she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Dale E. Fowler School of Law at Chapman University.

Practicing law since she was 17 years old, Ms. Eli has been the president of the Eli Law Practice since 2014. Among her duties, she specializes in personal injury law, which is defined as the practice of law as it pertains to injury to the body, mind, or emotions. In addition, she has excelled as a senior trial attorney with the Law Offices of Ramtin Sadighim since 2019 and the president of Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel since 2023. She previously served Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel as the senior vice president.

Notably, Ms. Eli holds the distinction of being the first woman president elected in Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel. As president, she holds the rights to a website and aims to establish a comprehensive database for Holocaust files and trials. Ms. Eli has also served on the board of Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel for five years.

Over the course of her career, Ms. Eli has always been willing to accept challenges in the field, which has highlighted her as an exemplary individual in the legal industry. Through her experiences in life and in her professional career, she has learned the significance of prioritization, time management, and multitasking. To wit, she emphasizes that having a healthy work-life balance may be challenging, yet, she has thrived in all aspects of her life since learning how to manage her time effectively. Ms. Eli places importance on caring for her family, noting that her family is the most important aspect of her daily life, and she enjoys helping others through her law practices and the temple.

In accounting for her success, Ms. Eli credits the resounding influence of her mother, whom Ms. Eli has always admired for her strong personality and sense of determination. In this regard, her mother has always encouraged her to go beyond her limits, thereby helping to shape Ms. Eli into the influential woman she is recognized as today. Furthermore, Ms. Eli says that her mother was instrumental in persuading her to attend law school and secure her first job in the legal field. Ms. Eli also lives through her desire to become a positive role model for her two daughters, setting a confident example for them.

In recognition of her accomplishments, Ms. Eli was honored by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2022 and 2023. She was also featured in an article by the Jewish Journal. To remain abreast of and contribute to developments in her field, she has maintained active affiliations with the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles since 2019 and Lawyers of Distinction since 2020.

Outside of her work in law, Ms. Eli is a proven leader in her community, serving as an activist and nonprofit executive. Seeking to provide justice for her clients and create a safe place of worship for her community, she endeavors to maintain her involvement with Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel in the coming years. Likewise, she would also like to become a noted member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and continue achieving successful verdicts in more trials.

Married to David Eli for many years, Ms. Eli is the proud mother of daughters Lauren and Julia. In her leisure time, she enjoys going to the beach, swimming, going on walks and bicycle rides with her children, and ice skating. Born in Los Angeles, California, she resides in nearby Encino.
