Robin Sexton

Robin Boren-Coleman Sexton, Esq., has over 26 years’ experience in the legal and finance industry. She currently serves as Vice President and Lead Fiduciary Advisory Specialist at Wells Fargo Bank, NA. Attributing much of her success to her passion for her work and her desire to help others, Ms. Sexton studied at the American University in Washington, D.C., where she volunteered with her sorority, Delta Gamma, to assist philanthropies for the blind; spent a semester abroad at the American University of Paris in 1989; made the Dean’s List; and ultimately obtained a Bachelor of Arts in international studies in 1991. She earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1995, where she was honored by the Dean’s Commission and received the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. She is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Sexton began her career as a judicial staff attorney with the Superior Court of California, County of Riverside.

During her time with the Riverside Superior Courts, Ms. Sexton had her first experience with probate work and saw first-hand the struggle that individuals underwent following the loss of a loved one. Since then, she has cultivated considerable experience in estate planning and administration so that she can be a beacon of knowledge, expertise and compassion in order to help people through one of the most vulnerable times of their lives. Following her work with the court, she entered private practice as the sole practitioner of the Law Office of Robin Boren-Coleman Sexton from 2000 to 2016.  Ms. Sexton then served as an associate attorney with the Law Offices of C.R. Abrams, P.C. and the Morgan Law Group in Newport Beach, California.

In 2018, Ms. Sexton joined Wells Fargo Bank. In her current role as Lead Fiduciary Advisory Specialist, she partners with high net worth clients, internal wealth management specialists, and local professionals in the tax and legal communities to efficiently administer complex trusts and estates and provide customized services to clients throughout Southern California. She notes that the ability to have all the necessary specialists in house is something that she really appreciates about working in a corporate environment. In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, she maintains professional affiliations with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  Ms. Sexton also serves as a featured speaker for the National Business Institute for the field of wills, trusts and estates.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Sexton intends to continue on her journey within the corporate structure and keep building her career in trust services. She truly loves what she does, and that love is the driving force behind her desire to excel and keep moving forward. In the spring of 2021, she was inducted into Lawyers of Distinction for excellence in will and trust law, something she cites among of the highlights of her career. Although, she also finds incredible gratification in the work she does every day to better herself. Ms. Sexton prides herself in the care she brings to her client relationships and keeping her clients central to all she does.

Ms. Sexton credits her success to her parents, who gave her unending support and encouraged her work ethic from a very young age. Alongside her professional endeavors, she has been incredibly active in her community as well. She has been active with the Vista Irvine Chapter of National Charity League Inc., serving in the full spectrum or roles including: President, Vice President of Provisionals, President-Elect, Past-President and Senior Recognition Chair. Ms. Sexton has sat on the Somerton Homeowners Association since 2001, where she has served as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and member-at-large. Since 2020, she has been the Recording Secretary and Historian for the Northwood High School PTSA. Married to her husband, Dr. Charles Sexton, for many happy years, Ms. Sexton considers the highlight of her personal life to be her three daughters, Colette, who will attend the University of San Diego School of Law; Camille, who is majoring in business and attends Baylor University; and Chloe, who is passionate about lacrosse and is in high school.
