Patti Bass

A powerful combination of legal acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to service defines the career of Patti H. Bass, Esq. As president and chief executive officer of Bass & Associates, P.C., she leads a nationally recognized firm that represents financial lenders and manages complex probate and bankruptcy claims. Her leadership extends to government contracts and recovery of delinquent collections, areas where her strategic insight has proven indispensable. With a focus on team development and operational excellence, she has built a culture grounded in accountability, integrity and results. 

Ms. Bass earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee before pursuing her Juris Doctor at Emory University School of Law. Her experience at Emory shaped both her legal thinking and her commitment to community support. While a law student, she helped launch a foundation that provided financial assistance to peers pursuing legal education. In recognition of these contributions, she received the Eleonore Raoul Trailblazer Award from Emory University School of Law. Her belief in lifting others as she rises remains central to her personal and professional philosophy. 

In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Bass has dedicated time to teaching and mentorship. She was an adjunct professor at Emory Law School through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, where she helped train the next generation of legal professionals. That passion for education and professional development has echoed in her personal life as well. Both of her daughters followed her path, attending Emory University and Emory Law School, and are now practicing attorneys in Texas.  

Professional affiliations have been a cornerstone of Ms. Bass’ career. She is an active member of several organizations, including the National Creditors Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Collection Association, the New York State Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Arizona and the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees. These memberships reflect her ongoing commitment to staying informed, engaged and connected within the legal community. 

Ms. Bass’ contributions have been widely recognized. She holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, one of the highest peer-review distinctions in the legal field. She received the Community Service Award from the National Creditors Bar Association, and her firm has been honored as a Top Training Company by the Association of Talent Development as well as a Top Vendor Management Company. Her work has also earned the Distinguished Service Award from the International Credit Association. 

Ms. Bass supports organizations such as the Wounded Veterans Association and regularly engages in charitable work beyond her legal obligations. She draws strength and inspiration from her family, including a father who retired as a one-star general and a mother-in-law whose values helped shape her own. Her husband Charles played a pivotal role in encouraging her to launch her firm, a decision that laid the foundation for decades of impact. 

A respected leader in her field and a committed mentor to others, Ms. Bass continues to influence the legal profession through service, leadership and advocacy. Her legacy is reflected in the firm she built, the attorneys she has inspired and the enduring values she upholds.
