Nicole Koharik

Nicole Koharik, MA, APR, is a distinguished professional in corporate brand and communications. Since 2022, she has served as the head of corporate brand and communications at PartsSource Inc., where she leads the company’s brand strategy, social media, public relations, executive communications, and events. Her journey with PartsSource began in 2019 as the director of product marketing, where she championed the creation of a dedicated brand and corporate communications department. Her efforts have been instrumental in strengthening PartsSource’s position as a leader in health care technology. 

Before assuming her current role, Ms. Koharik held several key leadership positions at PartsSource, including senior director of enterprise marketing and corporate communications from 2021 to 2022 and director of enterprise marketing and corporate communications from 2020 to 2021. Her tenure at GOJO Industries from 2006 to 2018 was marked by significant achievements, including the development of the company’s first corporate sustainability strategy. As the global sustainability marketing director from 2012 to 2016, she played a crucial role in establishing GOJO’s market-facing sustainability position, providing the company with a competitive advantage. Earlier in her career at GOJO, she also served as global senior marketing manager for sustainability and marketing manager.

Ms. Koharik’s professional journey also includes serving as vice president of marketing at Union Home Mortgage Corp. from 2018 to 2019 and becoming an official member of the Forbes Communications Council in 2020. Laying an educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in public relations, advertising, and applied communication from Notre Dame College, and holds a Master of Arts in communications management from John Carroll University. Additionally, in 2023, she earned accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America. 

Moreover, Ms. Koharik is deeply committed to civic engagement, having served on the board of directors for the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank from 2013 to 2018 and Adoption Network Cleveland from 2007 to 2010. She is also an active volunteer and leadership team member at Fireside Adoptees, where she supports fellow adoptees through various initiatives. Her published works include “GOJO: How We Pioneered Our Chemical Footprint Reduction Target” and “The Greening of Health Care Starts with Suppliers,” both featured on GreenBiz.

In light of her impressive undertakings in the field, Ms. Koharik’s has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Top Most Loved Workplaces by Newsweek in 2024, the PRSA Cleveland Rocks Gold Award for COVID-19 response in external communications, and the Judges’ Choice Award from the Public Relations Society of America Cleveland Chapter in 2023. She was recognized with the Outstanding Marketing Leadership Award and the Top 100 Healthcare Leaders Award from IFAH in 2020, as well as being named a finalist for CSR Professional of the Year by PR News CSR Awards in 2017. Other honors include 40 Under 40 by Brand Innovators in 2016, Who to Watch in Sustainability by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2013, and her recognition as an ambassador in health care technology management by the Women in Leadership Group in 2024. 

Ms. Koharik attributes her success to her father, a Vietnam veteran who raised her as a single parent before becoming a Catholic priest. His values deeply influenced her tenacity, resilience, and grit. In her personal life, she is devoted to her family, including her son, a United States Navy veteran now working in sales. She also enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and writing.  Looking to the future, Ms. Koharik aims to elevate and position PartsSource as a leading health care technology company, ensuring the highest quality for both main and legacy parts as they serve top health systems globally. On a personal level, she hopes to draw from her adoptee experience to inspire others. Through writing, vlogging, and her online presence under The Adoptee in Me, she connects with the adoption community and shares her journey. She plans to take this further by writing a book, focusing not just on adoption but on the transformative power of personal agency. Her message is that while circumstances may be beyond our control, we have the ability to take charge of our lives.
