Nancy Ehlen, MIS, CLHMS, IAHSP, GUILD, RSPS, began her career as the owner and operator of The Painted Lady Salon from 1991 to 2004. In 1995 she married her husband Tom, a general contractor who owns and operates Ehlen Floor Covering and Ehlen Construction, a family business. Once she left her salon business, she decided to pursue a career in real estate since it would bring a new, highly complementary element to her husband’s existing family business and went on to achieve licensure as a real estate sales associate. Subsequently, Ms. Ehlen joined Berkshire Hathaway Home Services in 2015, where she served as a sales associate and was recognized for her excellence through induction into the President’s Club.
Ms. Ehlen brought her expertise in residential real estate to Royal Shell Real Estate, where she represents clients in a wide range of real estate endeavors, including the purchase and sale of single-family homes, condominiums, new construction, and commercial and investment opportunities. She is incredibly proud to have made a name for herself as someone who can provide a full-service experience for her clients from beginning to end, with a personalized approach to open houses, market research and the marketing of luxury properties.
Having lived and worked in the same area for over 30 years, Ms. Ehlen maintains professional affiliations with a number of pertinent local associations, such as the Naples Board of Realtors, the Marco Island Board of Realtors, Stellar Multiple Listing Services, the National Association of Realtors, International Staging Professionals, and the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. She notes that she loves how every project is different and challenging, as well as the constant movement of the industry. Ms. Ehlen highlights the gratification and pleasure that comes with handing the keys to a new homeowner and the completion of a newly renovated property.
Throughout everything, Ms. Ehlen attributes much of her success to her mother, Helen, a single mother who raised six daughters on her own and whose work ethic and “never give up, give in or quit” attitude were incredibly inspiring. She is also deeply grateful for the support her husband, Tom, has given her over the years. He has always encouraged her ideas and dreams, believing that, through staying focused and working hard, the possibilities have no boundaries.
In addition, Ms. Ehlen is proud of the family business, which now has second-generation contractors and is well-known in their community. She looks forward to the completion of their new costume home and continuing to help her clients meet their real estate needs.
When she is not working, Ms. Ehlen remains active in tennis, physical fitness, riding motorcycles and captains her own boat. Today, she and her husband are long-standing members of the Island Country Club on Marco Island in Florida. Noting that truth and integrity are incredibly important to her, Ms. Ehlen hopes to leave a legacy as someone who is honest, hardworking, quick to respond and enjoyed the journey.
