Ms. Harris is educationally equipped for success; she earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Bennett College. In addition to her academic degrees, she holds an ESG certification from the University of Colorado and is a certified contract compliance administrator through Morgan State University. These credentials have equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of technical and strategic elements, enabling her to excel in her field.
Ms. Harris’s professional journey began as a corporate event liaison at A la Carte Events, where she honed her organizational and leadership skills. She later co-chaired the national conference for Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) Headquarters and contributed to COMTO Colorado as vice president and membership chairperson. As a project manager and compliance officer at Armand Resource Group, she gained experience in regulatory oversight and strategic project management. Ms. Harris’s leadership extended further as she co-chaired the National CITY Intern Program and served as the Colorado State Chapter President for COMTO Colorado, where she advocated for diversity and inclusion in transportation. Most recently, she served as vice president of public relations and marketing for the Airport Minority Advisory Council.
Ms. Harris has received numerous accolades, including being named one of the Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she was honored with the Rainmaker Award from the Associated General Contractors of America and the National Emerging Leader Award from COMTO. Organizations such as Colorado Black Women for Political Action have also recognized her contributions, reflecting her prominence and impact in the business community. Her volunteer work spans several organizations, including the Airport Minority Advisory Council, the Colorado Department of Transportation, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and advisory roles with the Colorado Black Leadership Coalition and Edwards Foundation.
In her personal life, Ms. Harris finds joy in traveling, working out, and mentoring others. She is a proud mother to Khameron and Sidnie and values her time with family.
