Since 2026, Joni Lipkowitz, MBA has served as vice president of value engineering at Innovapptive, a Houston-based, rapidly scaling software company delivering an AI-powered connected worker platform for industrial execution. In this role, she leads value-engineering strategy as the company advances toward a Series C funding round, translating Innovapptive’s mission — empowering frontline workers through digitization and artificial intelligence — into measurable business outcomes for customers and investors alike.
Prior to joining Innovapptive, Ms. Lipkowitz served as senior director of presales at C3 AI from 2025 to 2026, where she led presales activities and shaped go-to-market strategy for enterprise AI solutions, deepening her expertise in industrial AI, asset performance management, and supply chain optimization. From 2017 to 2025, she built an eight-year career at Aspen Technology in Houston, rising from senior business consultant in 2017 to principal business consultant in 2018, senior principal solution consultant in 2019, manager of solution consulting for Latin America in 2020, and, ultimately, senior manager of solution consulting for North America from 2022 to 2025. She also briefly led AspenTech’s European solution consulting team, earning recognition throughout for her leadership on asset performance management and digital transformation initiatives across global markets.
Ms. Lipkowitz’s career began with a series of formative internships: project assistant and intern with ConocoPhillips and Rose-Hulman Ventures in 2007, bulk pharmaceutical processing engineering intern with Eli Lilly in 2008, and wireline logging field engineering intern with Schlumberger in 2009. Upon graduation, she joined Honeywell UOP from 2010 to 2014, holding roles including FCC (Fluidized Catalytic Cracking) pilot plant operations process engineer, FCC technical services process engineer, and chief technical advisor in field operating services. She then served as a consultant at KBC Yokogawa from 2014 to 2015, spending significant time in coastal Ecuador as a niche refinery consultant implementing best-practice plans and leading business process improvement workstreams. From 2015 to 2016, she was a senior consultant at Worley (formerly Jacobs Consultancy) in Houston, validating the operational viability of grassroots and brownfield refinery capital projects on behalf of financial institutions.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lipkowitz has been defined by a strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a deep curiosity about different cultures. Her travels across fifty-two countries on six continents have shaped a global perspective that informs her leadership style. She is regarded as an expert in industrial AI, asset performance management, supply chain optimization, connected worker platforms, downstream refining, and process engineering.
Ms. Lipkowitz is a member of the Women’s Energy Network, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Society of Women Engineers, and the MIT Alumni Club of South Texas, and credits much of her success to strong mentorship — a value she now pays forward by fostering resilience, perseverance, and continuous improvement in others. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, with minors in German and Spanish and a Certificate in Consulting Engineering, from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2010, and a Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2025. She graduated valedictorian from Heritage High School in 2006.
Ms. Lipkowitz attributes her achievements to hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering support system — including her parents, who served as early role models; the teachers, professors, and mentors who guided her development; and the friends and family who inspired her ambitions, including her husband, whose encouragement carried her through her MBA. Travel remains a defining passion, continuing to shape her worldview both personally and professionally.
Beyond her core role, Ms. Lipkowitz has served as an industry advisor with Framework Venture Partners since 2025 and sits on both the Career Services and Board Membership committees of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Alumni Advisory Board since 2024. She supports Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston and has established herself as a thought leader through numerous publications on asset performance management and digital transformation in industrial sectors.
Ms. Lipkowitz’s contributions have earned a Silver Bravo Award from Honeywell in 2012 and three CEO Excellence Awards from AspenTech between 2019 and 2023. In 2020, she was named Solution Consultant of the Year and a President’s Club winner at AspenTech, and, in 2009, she was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. Guided by Innovapptive’s mission to empower frontline workers through digital transformation, Ms. Lipkowitz remains committed to creating meaningful impact — through her strategic leadership, her mentorship of rising professionals, and the example she hopes to set for future generations, including her daughter.
