Janice Bergeron

Janice M. Bergeron has etched out her place as a distinguished professional, excelling as a consultant in real estate, program management, and transportation and development. Since 2017, she has excelled as president of RND Consultants Inc., where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership through the development of strategic solutions and addressing clients’ challenges. RND Consultants offers multidisciplinary consulting services, guiding projects from inception through construction close-out.

A standout moment in Ms. Bergeron’s tenure with RND Consultants is her work in 2017 on a project worth approximately $3 billion for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, where she was part of the program management team and responsible for the entire project.

Ms. Bergeron’s experience also includes serving as vice president at Kennedy/Jenks Consultants Inc., a leading water and industrial engineering firm, from 2014 to 2017. Before that, she was a project executive at Gilbane, a leading global builder and real estate developer, from 2011 to 2014, where she oversaw significant construction initiatives and contributed to the company’s growth.

Moreover, Ms. Bergeron served as New England regional inside sales manager at Jacobs from 2008 to 2011. Prior to that, she was a senior project manager and associate at Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. from 1995 to 2008, and at Sverdrup Civil Inc., now Jacobs, where she worked as a program coordinator from 1989 to 1996.

In addition to her illustrious career history, Ms. Bergeron is actively involved in industry-related organizations such as the Boston Women’s Workforce Council and the Transportation Task Force of the South Shore Chamber. She is also a member of the Transportation Agencies Liaison Committee of the American Council of Engineering Companies and the Regional Policy Committee of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Bergeron is also deeply committed to civic engagement. She serves on the board of directors for the Kigali Reading Center in Rwanda and has been an advisory board member and mentor for the Women’s Transportation Seminar since 1992. Her dedication to community service is further exemplified by her roles with Team Heart in Rwanda and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Bergeron notes that her academic foundation laid the stepping stones for her success. She earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and journalism from Suffolk University in 1987. She went on to earn several certifications, including the 10-Hour Training from OSHA in 2015, RWP from Keolis Commuter Services in 2012, and safety training from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in 2011.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Bergeron was named Woman of the Year by the Boston Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar in 2015, Member of the Year in 2004, and received the President’s Award in 2002. She attributes her achievements to the support of her husband, children, and a close circle of women mentor friends.

In her personal life, Ms. Bergeron enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and horse racing. She also takes great pride in her family life with her husband and three daughters—Renee, Nicole, and Danielle. Looking to the future, she plans to mentor other women and focus on strategic initiatives for her company over the next decade. She has been training and mentoring young staff for five years, with the goal of adopting a more strategic approach to grow the firm to approximately 40 employees.
