Jamie Ferriman has established herself as a successful entrepreneur, currently excelling as the owner of Bri Candles, established in 2024. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Bri Candles offers handcrafted soy wax candles and bath essentials made from natural ingredients, providing safe alternatives for individuals with allergies or sensitive skin to ensure an experience free from adverse reactions. Her responsibilities encompass every aspect of the business, including manufacturing, customer service, and inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels and timely reordering. She also actively engages with customers through regular social media updates to promote new products.

Before founding Bri Candles, Ms. Ferriman co-owned a waste removal service until 2017, playing an integral role in its operations alongside her husband. Earlier in her career, she worked for five years as a paint specialist at Peterbilt Motors Company, where she inspected paint for flaws to ensure it met quality standards before reaching customers.

A standout moment in Ms. Ferriman’s career was being approached by a magazine for a feature story, which allowed her to raise awareness about her dedication to creating allergy-friendly products and her contributions to the community. One such contribution is her tradition of “adopting” a family every Christmas through her husband’s company, providing food, gifts, and decorations to ensure they have a memorable holiday season.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Ferriman attributes her success to her unwavering determination and self-motivation for overcoming challenges and skepticism throughout her career. She was inspired to start her candle-making business after the loss of her daughter, using it as a therapeutic outlet to cope with grief. Additionally, a portion of Bri Candles’ proceeds is donated to the American Suicide Prevention Awareness Program, supporting efforts to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide, including families who have experienced loss.

In the coming years, Ms. Ferriman plans to open brick-and-mortar stores and hire local employees, as well as expand her presence by participating in expos and events. In the long term, she envisions establishing multiple retail locations and a manufacturing facility or warehouse in Fort Worth. Outside of her career, she enjoys traveling, window shopping, meeting new people, and spending time with her husband and three children. She also has a passion for DIY projects and interior design.
