Having excelled as a consultant for parenting education since 1994, Jacqueline Delmar Parker Scott, EdD, MBA, co-founded Super Parenting LLC alongside her daughter, Olympia Renee Scott, in 2004, where she presently serves as vice president. Through Super Parenting, she provides numerous resources to help parents learn how to be the best parent to their children, including her 2011 book “Super Parenting: Raising the Next Generation” Additionally, she has been active as an associate professor, lecturer and dissertation coach at Santa Monica College since 1999 and published a second book, “Spiritual Awakening: Look What Happened to Me. Is it Happening to You Too?” in 2014.
Prior to her consulting work, Dr. Scott spent many years in business, serving as the assistant area development director for the United Negro College Fund from 1993 to 1996 and as partner, co-author, co-facilitator and consultant for Diversified Event Planners Inc. from 1990 to 1993. She also spent over a decade with TRW Inc., holding such roles as capital planning administrator, project business manager, laboratory senior business administrator and division senior business administrator between 1980 and 1992. Early on, she cultivated her skills as a district credit analyst and assistant vice president at Crocker National Bank, a bank auditor and corporate loan assistant at Security Pacific National Bank, and staff coordinator for the education department at California State University, alongside other positions as she worked her way through her education.
First earning an Associate of Arts in theater arts from Los Angeles City College in 1970, Dr. Scott subsequently joined California State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1973. Furthering her studies with a Master of Business Administration in 1979, she concluded her academic efforts at Pepperdine University, where she completed a Doctor of Education in 1999. She is incredibly proud of all she has been able to achieve through her education.
For excellence in her career, Dr. Scott has been the recipient of a number of honors and accolades, including commendations from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the United Negro College Fund, United Way International, and the Inglewood Unified School District, among others. She also received the President’s Award from the Harbor Area chapter of The Links, Incorporated in 1985 and the Women of Achievement Award from the Los Angeles Association of Black Personnel in 1994.
