JACQUELINE FAKLER

Attributing much of her success to hard work and being considerate of others, Jacqueline Fakler holds considerable expertise in property management and maintenance supervising. She began her career following the receipt of her high school diploma, and went on to spend many years working for businesses that provided no benefits to their employees. This led to her wanting to work for herself and she eventually became the manager of a mobile home park from 1994 to 2011.

Following this position, Ms. Fakler, alongside her husband, purchased her own company and became owner of RJR Maintenance & Management in 2011. Starting with just three units, the company has now grown to service and manage roughly 2,000 units and has 48 employees. RJR Maintenance & Management provides a number of services to the rental properties they maintain, including full rebuilding of rental properties, providing storage, manufacturing home and RV parts, financing, general repairs, lawn maintenance, and snow removal. Ms. Fakler’s roles include supervising her maintenance technicians, ensuring all maintenance needs are met, overseeing the accounting, and managing calls and other back end duties.

Above everything she has done, Ms. Fakler is incredibly proud to have brought jobs to her community and that she is able to provide benefits to her employees. Additionally, she strives to ensure that the people who live in her properties and come to her business have the best possible experience she can give them. She emphasizes that in an ever changing world it is important for people to work together to improve their communities and the world at large.

Looking toward the future, Ms. Fakler intends to continue her work with RJR Maintenance & Management, bringing the company to a point where she feels comfortable passing it on to her children. She would advise young and aspiring professionals in the property management industry that their products and services need to be top of the line in order to keep their renters and clients happy. You are still providing a product when it comes to property management, though it is a different sort of product than one you go to a store for, and you need to ensure that product is at its best.

Alongside her primary career responsibilities, Ms. Fakler has contributed her skills to a number of other professional and civic endeavors. In order to stay up to date with new developments in her field, she maintains affiliation with such professional organizations as the North Dakota Apartment Association, where she has spent time on the board. She has also been involved with the local chamber of commerce and the local builders association. Furthermore, she has volunteered her time and skills to RJR Homes, a premier real estate company; RJ Shorthorns, a family-run cattle ranch; local pet rescues; and quarterly community blood drives.

Born in Worthington, Minnesota, Ms. Fakler spent many happy years married to her late husband, Robert Fakler. Together they were the proud parents to two children, Thomas John Fakler and Jamie Michelle Benstock, who are accomplished professionals in their own rights. Through them, Ms. Fakler is grandmother to seven wonderful grandchildren: Kate, Hunter, Brooklyn, Wyatt and Faith Benstock, and Theodore and Beckett Fakler.
