Dianne McCarty has established herself as a leader in human resources, having excelled as the chief human resources officer at Wildhorse Financial Services, LLC, operating under the name Gravity Lending, in Austin, Texas, since 2025. In this capacity, she supervises the human resource strategy and team, working closely with executive leadership to ensure that people operations are efficiently aligned with business objectives. Her responsibilities also include conducting one-on-one meetings with the chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and chief revenue officer, as well as managers across the organization to synchronize human resources initiatives with broader organizational strategies. Ms. McCarty is also dedicated to coaching and developing her team members’ skills, promoting industry best practices, and encouraging engagement with local and national human resources chapters such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Austin Human Resource Management Association.

Prior to joining Gravity Lending, Ms. McCarty was active as the principal managing partner of The HR Dispensary from 2024 to 2025. In this role, she provided consulting services focused on leadership development, organizational culture, and proactive risk management. Ms. McCarty’s expertise in employee relations, strategy, and process improvement has made her a sought-after advisor in the industry.
From 2022 to 2024, Ms. McCarty served as chief people officer for AutoPay Direct, RateGenius Loan Services, Tresl, and The Savings Group, Inc., where she played a pivotal role during a period of significant organizational change following multiple acquisitions by private equity firms. She previously held the position of vice president of human resources at these companies from 2015 to 2022. During her tenure at RateGenius Loan Services, she was instrumental in cultivating a workplace culture that earned repeated recognition as one of the best places to work in Austin by the Austin American-Statesman from 2015 through 2022 and again in 2024. Her efforts included establishing an engagement committee focused on employee engagement, community involvement, and promoting an active lifestyle. This committee organized high-participation events such as company picnics and developed initiatives that resonated with employees while aligning with leadership objectives.
Earlier in her career, Ms. McCarty found success throughout multiple posts at EZCORP, Inc., beginning as regional human resources manager in Denver in 1999 before advancing to corporate human resources manager in Austin from 2000 to 2002, director of human resources from 2002 to 2006, and ultimately senior regional human resources director from 2006 to 2015. During this time, she contributed to shaping HR strategy across multiple regions. Likewise, Ms. McCarty was involved in key committees such as the EZCORP Foundation Steering Committee.
Ms. McCarty’s professional journey began in Houston as regional human resources manager at Genuine Parts Company from 1995 to 1998. She later worked as human resources advisor at CES/Way, Ltd., also in Houston in 1998 before moving on to become employee relations manager at Landry’s Seafood House from 1998 to 1999.
Throughout her thirty-one-year career, Ms. McCarty has developed expertise in employee relations, people development, legal compliance and proactive risk management. She credits much of her success to early mentorship that taught her the importance of becoming a skilled businesswoman first and aligning HR strategies with overall business goals. Ms. McCarty’s ability to identify gaps within organizations and step beyond traditional HR boundaries has been instrumental in driving both personal growth and organizational success.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. McCarty pursued a formal education, graduating a Bachelor of Business Administration with a minor in marketing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in Houston in 1994. This education provided her with essential business acumen that has supported her throughout her career, particularly in legal compliance, where she has helped organizations avoid Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims.
Beyond her primary achievements, Ms. McCarty has been actively involved with civic organizations for many years. Since 2010, she has been affiliated with Light The Night through The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and contributed on the Board of Trustees for its Central Texas chapter from 2017 to 2021. Participating on the EZCORP Foundation Steering Committee between 2013 and 2015, Ms. McCarty is also a supporter of the MS Society and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Among numerous accolades, Ms. McCarty is most proud of leading teams that earned Best Places to Work awards for both Gravity Lending in 2025 and RateGenius Loan Services from 2015 through 2022 and again in 2024, honors determined entirely by employee feedback through surveys conducted by the Austin American-Statesman. Born in Baytown, Ms. McCarty enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as engaging with her community outside of work. Looking toward the future, she plans to continue developing the Gravity Lending team while preparing for a transition into part-time retirement that will allow her more time for travel and consulting work with organizations she values.
