DEBORA L. BIELECKI

With more than two decades of professional experience in the field of business, Debora L. Bielecki holds considerable expertise in global strategy and leadership, enterprise transformation and the management of change, AI and data privacy, revenue growth, software innovation, supply chain management, financial services, and much more. She began her career doing supply chain work for a number of logistics companies between 1989 and 2000. Notably, she was the territory sales manager with Loomis Courier from 1990 to 1993, the major account sales manager for TNT Express Worldwide from 1993 to 1996 and the corporate account manager for Sameday Right-O-Way from 1996 to 2000.

Ms. Bielecki subsequently spent 15 years as the vice president and global executive of technology services at the Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP from 2000 to 2015. During this time, she pursued several professional certifications to further her expertise, including a certificate in executive leadership development from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2012 and a certificate in executive acceleration development from Harvard University in 2013. In 2015, she founded Bielecki & Associates Inc., where she serves as a partner and became the chief executive officer in 2016.

Furthermore, in 2018, Ms. Bielecki became the regional ambassador for Women Get On Board, having served on the advisory board from 2017 to 2018, as well as a board member and the director of the Bank of Canada. The equivalent of the Federal Reserve in the United States, the Bank of Canada is responsible for printing money in Canada. Ms. Bielecki’s responsibilities on the board include overseeing the everyday operations of the bank as well the printing of new money. In addition to this work, she recently joined Loyal Ventures as an adviser in 2020.

A well-regarded speaker in her field, Ms. Bielecki has contributed her skills to a number of panels and summits over the course of her career. The most notably of these included Hewlett-Packard’s technology services worldwide partner events, the Stanford University and executive faculty event, and the Technology Services Leadership Summit, as well as the Big Data & Analytics Summit Canada. In order to keep abreast of developments in her field, she has maintained professional affiliation with such organizations as GLG and Kahuso Inc., and completed the Royal Canadian Navy’s “Canadian Leaders at Sea” program.

Ms. Bielecki has been an active member in her community as well. Serving as a member of the coalition board for the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority from 2010 to 2015, she additionally spent time as the grants adviser for the Mississauga Aquatic Club from 2014 to 2016 and as the co-chair and Canadian board adviser for Springboard Enterprises from 2016 to 2019. She was also notably involved in the West Deane restoration effort for the Etobicoke and Mimico watersheds, and is a supporter of the True Patriot Love Foundation, which provides support for those who have served in the Canadian armed forces.

For excellence in her career, Ms. Bielecki has been the recipient of a number of honors and accolades. Most impressively, she has a patent pending for predictive analytics through Hewlett Packard, which had previously presented her with the Technology Services Innovation Award. In a similar vein, she has also been recognized as a Tech Innovation Mentor by Springboard Enterprises for her services.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, to parents Phil and Marjorie Manning, Ms. Bielecki has been married to her husband, Michael, for many happy years. Together they are the proud parents of two children, Kadia and Alexander, and grandparents to two wonderful grandchildren, Carter and Layla. When she isn’t working, Ms. Bielecki enjoys spending time with her family and friends; traveling, particularly to St. Lucia; walking, biking and playing tennis; and enjoying the outdoors and her animals. Looking toward the future, she intends to contribute her skills to more Canadian businesses and expanding her board profile, while also working to support First Nation communities.
