Ms. Perry completed her Master of Arts in digital communications and multimedia from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, adding to her Master of Arts in early childhood education from Georgia State University in Atlanta and her Bachelor of Arts in african american studies from Agnes Scott College. She holds certification as a diversity, equity, and inclusion trainer through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. She has earned a certificate in women entrepreneurship from eCornell, demonstrating her continuous growth and specialized expertise. This comprehensive educational background has provided her with the theoretical framework and practical knowledge needed to address complex education and community development challenges.
Throughout her career, Ms. Perry has taken on progressively responsible roles in education and nonprofit leadership. She serves as a mental health and wellness facilitator for Henry County Schools while working as a course facilitator for Consciously Unbiased in Atlanta. Her tenure at Building Educated Leaders for Life (BELL) saw her excel in several senior director positions, where she managed national programs and implemented crucial partnerships that expanded the organization’s reach and impact. Her foundational experience includes roles as an assistant principal at Crawford W. Long Middle School and as a teacher at Gideons Elementary School, providing her with a firsthand understanding of educational challenges and opportunities.
