CINDY UNGER

An established and respected expert in residential real estate, Cindy Unger has been a realtor with Crockett & Co. Real Estate LLC since 2024. In this capacity, she is dedicated to assisting first-time home buyers, listing homes for friends and acquaintances—often through referrals—and representing both buyers and sellers to ensure fair and equitable transactions. Her commitment to her clients is evident in her hands-on approach of guiding individuals at every stage of the buying or selling process.

Before joining Crockett & Co. Real Estate LLC, Ms. Unger spent eight years as a real estate agent with Heritage Realty, where she developed a reputation for integrity and professionalism, building lasting relationships within the community, and earning the trust of clients and colleagues alike. Her expertise in residential real estate was solidified also through her work with a diverse clientele whose needs and interests she consistently prioritized. Prior to embarking on her real estate career, she worked as an office manager and administrator for an eye doctor’s practice, honing her organizational skills as well as her ability to manage daily operations and train staff.

Ms. Unger’s professional performance was born from the right education. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social science with a focus on women in politics and a minor in women’s studies from Kansas State University in 2003. She then obtained her real estate agent license in 2016 and is pursuing a broker’s license. Further, Ms. Unger is certified through the National Association of Realtors in her commitment to excellence and as an accredited buyer’s representative and an e-PRO.

Throughout her career, Ms. Unger has been active in relevant industry organizations. She has served as a zone vice president of the Kansas Association of Realtors since 2025, previously contributed as president of the Garden City Board of Realtors, and maintains membership with both the National Association of Realtors and the Kansas High Plains Association of Realtors. Additionally, she been affiliated with the Garden City Community College Endowment Association and the Philanthropic Educational Organization International.

Civic engagement is central to Ms. Unger’s life. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and supports various local charities, reflecting her desire to give back to her community. Mentorship is another significant aspect of Ms. Unger’s professional life. She takes pride in guiding others within the real estate industry, working closely with mentees daily to facilitate their education and growth. A strong believer in the importance of connection between people, Ms. Unger attributes her ongoing success, in large part, to the relationships she has cultivated over time. She believes that prioritizing those connections over financial gain has been fundamental to her achievements, shaping both her personal philosophy and professional approach.

Outside of her career, Ms. Unger is happily married to her husband, whose family operates a longstanding heating, ventilation and air conditioning company in Garden City, Kansas. She is also a loving mother to teenage sons, Ethan and Evan. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, spending time at a nearby lake, and other pastimes.

As she continues to travel on her professional path, Ms. Unger looks forward to broadening her expertise by earning her broker’s license and pursuing additional education opportunities related to commercial real estate. She also plans to continue encouraging and supporting her children as they graduate from high school and move on to college.
