Calleigh Freese has built a career defined by creativity, precision, and a deep commitment to designing spaces that promote healing and human connection. Her work in architecture reflects artistic vision and technical mastery, particularly within the realm of health care environments where thoughtful design can transform lives. As project manager at TMP, she leads a dedicated team overseeing a major hospital addition, guiding every stage of development from concept to completion. In this role, she manages consultants, coordinates project meetings, and ensures seamless collaboration among team members. Known for her ability to balance efficiency with empathy, she approaches each project as an opportunity to improve the experience of patients, caregivers and communities.  

Ms. Freese’s academic foundation has been essential to her professional growth. She earned two master’s degrees in architecture from the Kansas City Design Center and the School of Architecture & Design at the University of Kansas. These programs provided her with a strong understanding of design theory and practical application, equipping her to navigate complex projects with confidence and creativity. She also holds a global awareness certification from the University of Kansas and has completed Revit essential training for architecture certification through LinkedIn. This combination of technical expertise and global perspective has allowed her to approach design challenges with innovation and adaptability, qualities that continue to define her career. 

Before joining TMP, Ms. Freese worked as a client manager at MJM Architects, focusing on cultivating meaningful relationships with clients and ensuring that their goals were met with precision and care. In that capacity, she balanced creativity with project management discipline, strengthening her leadership and communication skills. Prior to that, she was project manager at the same firm, leading a range of architectural initiatives that deepened her understanding of how design elevates function and user experience. 

Earlier in her career, Ms. Freese worked as a staff architect at Archetype Design Group, Inc., contributing to numerous design projects and developing a strong foundation in coordination and on-site project execution. Her introduction to the field began with an internship at Architekten Barnstedt, where she learned the essential principles of project management, technical drawing and architectural detailing. This early experience confirmed her passion for architecture and solidified her desire to pursue a career that combined creativity with public service. 

Over the years, Ms. Freese has gained experience in a wide range of settings, including offices, correctional facilities, retail environments and health care institutions. This breadth of work has shaped her into a versatile professional capable of adapting to diverse design challenges. Her membership in the American Institute of Architects and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards underscores her commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in her field. 

Ms. Freese often reflects on the importance of mentorship throughout her career. She credits a high school teacher who encouraged her interest in architecture through independent study as one of the earliest influences on her path. This experience inspired her to prioritize mentorship in her own professional life, guiding young architects as they navigate the early stages of their careers. At TMP, she takes pride in fostering a supportive environment for emerging professionals, emphasizing teamwork, communication and growth. 

Ms. Freese’s dedication to mentorship extends beyond her firm. She has served as a mentor for the ACE Mentor Program and O’More College of Architecture & Design, helping students explore careers in architecture, construction and engineering. She also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, contributes to a Christian ministry as a navigator and participates in the Ride for Kids initiative. Her commitment to service and education reflects her belief that architecture, at its best, is a tool for community building. 

Looking ahead, Ms. Freese aspires to expand her leadership role within TMP and to continue mentoring young architects who share her passion for creating meaningful spaces. She remains especially devoted to health care architecture, believing that well-designed hospitals and clinics can profoundly impact the well-being of those they serve. Through her work, she continues to demonstrate that architecture is not only about building structures, but also about building hope and connection within the communities they support.
