Ashley Schmitt

Ashley Schmitt has built a career defined by creativity, strategic vision and a passion for bringing people together through marketing and event production. As director of marketing at Affle, she leads efforts across North America, supporting the United States team while guiding initiatives that elevate the company’s visibility and strengthen partnerships. Her role spans event planning, content development and digital communications, with responsibilities that include orchestrating conferences, coordinating high-level partner engagements, designing marketing campaigns, creating graphics and managing newsletters. She also oversees internal communications, manages email outreach to a global audience and ensures that marketing strategies align with organizational goals. 

Ms. Schmitt’s academic achievements laid the groundwork for this success. As the first in her family to graduate from college, she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business administration and management from San Francisco State University after completing an Associate of Science in business administration and management from Skyline College. She credits her education with instilling resilience, dedication and adaptability, qualities that have guided her career progression. To further strengthen her expertise, she earned a certification in artificial intelligence in marketing from ELVTR and enrolled in the 3R Program at Affle, underscoring her commitment to continuous learning and growth. 

In addition to her work with Affle, Ms. Schmitt also serves as director of marketing at YouAppi in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, she has supported North American operations and played a pivotal part in the company’s growth, particularly during its acquisition. Her contributions to brand storytelling and event production have highlighted her ability to adapt to organizational change while maintaining focus on long-term goals. 

Ms. Schmitt’s earlier roles at YouAppi and Applift reflect steady advancement and increasing responsibility. As senior global marketing manager at YouAppi, she coordinated international campaigns that strengthened the company’s position in competitive markets. At Applift, she progressed from United States marketing manager to senior marketing manager for the Americas, where she oversaw initiatives across North and South America, including the establishment of the São Paulo office. These experiences allowed her to develop expertise in cross-cultural collaboration and regional market strategy. 

The foundations of her career were shaped by her time in hospitality. At Sam’s Chowder House in Half Moon Bay, she worked as manager of safety administration and mobile administration, where she focused on customer service, operational efficiency and team management. She also gained early experience in event coordination as a banquet server with Rebecca Jean Catering. These roles provided her with practical skills in organization, communication and client engagement that she carried into her later work in marketing and events. 

Beyond her corporate achievements, Ms. Schmitt is committed to community involvement. She supports GLIDE in San Francisco as a donor and participant, contributes to Compass Family Services and the Adopt-a-Family Program and fosters animals through Rocket Dog Rescue. These efforts reflect her belief in using her resources and time to uplift others. In her personal life, she enjoys traveling, camping, cooking and exploring food culture. She finds joy in spending time with her fiancé, daughter and stepdaughter, as well as caring for family pets. 

Looking to the future, Ms. Schmitt seeks to expand her impact within Affle by strengthening strategic partnerships and refining business unit capabilities, including UAPI. She envisions herself advancing into broader leadership, with the long-term goal of serving as chief marketing officer. Her career reflects a blend of creativity, resilience and innovation, qualities that will continue to shape her contributions to the marketing industry.
