Arienne M. Ischer

Serving as chief executive officer and chief operating officer of SHINE Career Collective LLC since 2019, Arienne M. Ischer has distinguished herself as a leader in the recruiting and staffing industry. Under her leadership, SHINE Career Collective has established itself as a woman-owned company dedicated to strengthening and innovating recruiting practices to better serve both clients and candidates. Ms. Ischer’s responsibilities encompass developing, expanding and sustaining strategic partnerships nationwide to support organizational growth. She negotiates and manages client contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards, and improves and scales programs to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

Prior to founding SHINE Career Collective, Ms. Ischer served as a regional area manager at CareerStaff Unlimited for several years, overseeing regional recruitment strategies and supporting organizational objectives through effective talent acquisition practices. She contributed as a senior recruiter, account manager and business developer at Motus Recruiting & Staffing from 2016 to 2018, sourcing top talent for clients across various industries while driving development initiatives. Ms. Ischer was initially recruited into staffing despite lacking experience after being approached by another recruiter who recognized her potential. Later, her sister-in-law became her business partner and was a significant influence on her success, helping her enter the industry and serving as an important learning resource throughout her career.

Earlier in her professional life, Ms. Ischer worked as a sales representative at American Family Insurance, where she developed expertise in client relations while building connections within the local business community. She held the position of counter manager for Estée Lauder at Nordstrom for two years and gained experience as a medical aesthetician and makeup artist at several medical spas and retail establishments for more than five years.

Recognized for her expertise in strategic recruiting, staffing, career coaching and talent acquisition, Ms. Ischer considers her most notable achievement to be her commitment to helping people. She takes pride in bridging gaps and empowering others to realize their potential, setting herself apart with a comprehensive approach to meeting business needs that focuses on individuals. Ms. Ischer’s unique business model operates more like a consulting service within client teams while still handling recruitment tasks. Unlike many agencies, which are often seen as transactional, she strives to create positive experiences by becoming an integral part of each team she serves, providing flexible solutions tailored to businesses of all sizes.

Ms. Ischer has been a member of several important organizations relevant to her field. She holds active membership in the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network. Her previous appointments include affiliation with the Tualatin Area Chamber of Commerce, serving as chair and vice chair of Young Professionals of Tualatin — a networking group that she founded and expanded significantly — and serving as board treasurer of the Worldwide Insurance Network Group.

Throughout her career journey, Ms. Ischer’s educational background has been supportive. She has completed both trade school courses and college coursework, building foundational knowledge applicable across many of her roles. Additionally, Ms. Ischer holds several professional credentials. She was licensed as an aesthetician through Portland Beauty School in 2008, finished Ascent recruitment and business development training in 2017, and was certified in top-tier consulting and talent acquisition consulting in 2017.

Dedicated to civic advocacy beyond her primary vocation, Ms. Ischer has been a board member of the Chelsea Hicks Foundation since 2026. This organization helps hospitalized children in Oregon and the greater Northwest United States region by providing opportunities for imagination and play.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Ischer finds balance through cooking, hiking, snowmobiling and traveling. Her passion for cooking began at 8 years old, when she asked her mother how to prepare spaghetti and scrambled eggs, and soon after moved on to preparing family dinners throughout her school years.

Looking to the future, Ms. Ischer plans to grow SCHINE Career Collective, with the goal of eventually passing it on to someone ambitious who will expand upon its innovative model. She also looks forward to continuing to inspire others through speaking engagements such as TED Talks or podcasts aimed at shifting public perception of staffing partnerships toward greater value creation. Ms. Ischer emphasizes the importance of women supporting one another in business to collectively foster positive change within society. This focus reflects her professional drive for excellence, which is guided by a desire to instill confidence in everyone with whom she works.
