Ana Delvalle

Ana Maricela Delvalle, a retired United States Marine Corps captain, is a management analyst with the Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Defense, where she specializes in integrating systems with artificial intelligence tools to enhance operational efficiency. Capt. Delvalle’s experience includes being the head of secretariat with the U.S. Space Force and a human resources consultant. She also was a manpower officer, legal officer, and protocol officer with the U.S. Marine Corps and made history as the first female company commander to integrate two companies in Quantico, Virginia, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Further, Capt. Delvalle served as the MCINCR MCBQ adjutant, managing voting, postal, human resources, and regional victim and witness liaison responsibilities. She impressively held more roles as manpower officer, legal officer, and suicide prevention officer. Capt. Delvalle’s earlier experience includes U.S. Marine Corps officer training followed by her participation in the U.S. Marine Corps enlisted commissioning education program. Additionally, she was a human resources manager in executive administration and special projects and served as an administrative chief and assistant instructor. Her career began as an administration and legal clerk with the U.S. Marine Corps in 2001. Prior to her military service, she worked as a customer service representative with SUNTECH S.A. from 2000 to 2001.

Academically, Capt. Delvalle earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and affairs with a minor in Spanish literature from Norwich University in 2013 and completed coursework as an international protocol officer at The Protocol School of Washington. Her certifications include being an alumnus of the Veteran Career Readiness Program by FourBlock and a certified suicide prevention officer on the Columbia Suicide Rating Scale through USMC Consult. Proudly, she has been active in various organizations, including the Women’s Veterans Association, U.S. Marine Corps Mustang Association, and National Naval Officers Association.

Moreover, Capt. Delvalle dedicates her time to civic engagement and community service. She volunteers at local shelters and churches and supports Compassion International Inc., reflecting her dedication to helping others. In honor of her impressive undertakings, she was recognized for outstanding military service at the White House in 2018 and has been the recipient of multiple U.S. Marine Corps achievement medals, commendation medals, good conduct medals, and unit awards.

Recalling her unique path, Capt. Delvalle’s journey from enlisted leader to commissioned officer was driven by her desire for greater influence in decision-making processes. Despite facing physical challenges from injuries sustained during her U.S. Marine Corps service, Capt. Delvalle remains determined to pursue a distinguished career in civil service. Her ultimate aspiration is to advance to the esteemed position of senior executive service member in government and to leave a lasting impact in the field.
