Adriana Reis has found much success as a leading expert in public safety, most notably as the safety advocate, founder, and fall prevention and home safety innovator at SafetyMat USA, Corp. since 2023. In these capacities, she has been instrumental in creating products from the ground up that prioritize public safety for both commercial and residential environments. Her work is especially focused on protecting aging individuals and children, developing adhesive solutions that address overlooked hazards in bathrooms and kitchens.
In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Reis manages all aspects of the business, from handling orders and ensuring timely production to connecting with potential customers and reaching out to facilities and daycare centers. Her commitment to proactive safety education is rooted in personal experience, which inspired her to develop SafetyMat—a peel-and-stick surface protection product designed to reduce trip hazards and prevent slips and falls. Certified for fall prevention by the National Floor Safety Institute, the product’s innovative features include a thin profile for assistive walking equipment compatibility, glow-in-the-dark guidance for nighttime use and customizable aesthetics.
Prior to founding SafetyMat USA, Corp., Ms. Reis has been active as a freelance multimedia designer with Clever Pixel LLC since 2010. This ongoing role has allowed her to collaborate with a diverse range of clients, further honing her creative and technical skills across multiple industries.
From 2017 to 2026, Ms. Reis excelled as senior multimedia designer at Quenzel & Associates, Inc., where she led design initiatives for various marketing campaigns and contributed significantly to the agency’s creative output. Between 2015 and 2017, she worked as a marketing and graphic design specialist for House of Wu’s Quinceañera Collection. During her tenure, Ms. Reis oversaw a collection that earned the DEBI Award for excellence in the bridal industry around 2016—a testament to her ability to blend creativity with the latest market trends.
Ms. Reis also held the position of senior graphic designer at Florida Business and Promotions, LLC from 2009 to 2017, managing branding projects and developing promotional materials for local businesses. Her earlier experience includes serving as multimedia designer at Misión Latina Christian Church from 2011 to 2016, where she supported community outreach through visual storytelling. From 2011 to 2013, Ms. Reis refined her skills in the marketing department at Digicel Personal as a multimedia designer. Her team received recognition from NDG for their efforts and was honored with the “Avant-Garde” Award from the Chief Executive Officer during her tenure.
In 2010, Ms. Reis contributed as a lab monitor at Full Sail University, supporting students in digital arts coursework. She began her career as a teller at Bank of America Corporation from 2006 to 2007. Beyond her primary endeavors, Ms. Reis has contributed as multimedia graphic designer for Misión Latina Christian Church between 2009 and 2011, supporting civic-minded initiatives through visual communication.
To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Reis pursued an education at Hodges University on an Esperanza Scholarship, earning an Associate of Science in graphic and drafting design in 2008. She ultimately graduated from Full Sail University with a Bachelor of Science in digital arts and design in 2010, having received the Full Sail Entertainment and Media Industry Scholarship for Women to conclude her academic studies. Her commitment to professional development is further demonstrated by several certifications, including as a Microsoft Office Specialist from Hodges University in 2006, an Adobe CS5 and CS6 certification in 2012, and as a life coach with a focus on self-management from Universidad Iberoamericana de Liderazgo (UNILID) in 2015.
Ms. Reis has attributed her success to her relentless curiosity about how things work beyond her immediate expertise. She approaches challenges with determination and actively seeks solutions rather than accepting shortcomings. This mindset led her to identify critical gaps in existing safety products after personal experiences highlighted their inadequacies. Ms. Reis is also driven by her enduring passion for her work—a dedication that fuels both her creativity and perseverance across all endeavors.
Born in Italy, Ms. Reis was later raised in Venezuela before relocating to the United States at age fourteen with her mother—a journey that shaped her resilience and adaptability. She is the proud parent of two daughters.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Reis aims to focus on educating the public about proactive safety measures—particularly slip-and-fall prevention—in environments such as assisted living facilities and daycare centers where these risks are prevalent. She envisions expanding awareness campaigns and providing SafetyMats to enhance protection for vulnerable populations, reflecting her unwavering commitment to advancing safety standards for all ages.
