Since 2015, Abby Adair Reinhard has been the formidable president, chief executive officer, and owner of GP Flooring Solutions, a commercial flooring contracting business based in Gates, New York. With its headquarters in Rochester, New York, and additional locations within the state, in Buffalo, Syracuse, and New York City, the company is known for selling, installing, and maintaining various types of flooring for commercial customers throughout the state and surrounding areas. Proud of its problem-solving expertise and knowledgeable team, the company is a certified women-owned business.

At the helm of GP Flooring Solutions, Ms. Reinhard has utilized her extensive background in marketing, communications, fundraising, and sales to flourish in her business leadership role. Previously, she excelled as the president and owner of Reinhard Communications and Development Consulting and was chief marketing officer of USEED, which she co-founded. Ms. Reinhard also held positions at Harvard University, including associate director at the Harvard College Fund and associate director of alumni affairs and development communication.

For her leadership and contributions to the industry, Ms. Reinhard has been honored with numerous accolades. She received the Loretta Simmons Leadership Award in 2020 and GP Flooring Solutions was named one of the Top 100 Companies to Work For in the State of New York. Further, Ms. Reinhard was included in the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list and was named a Leader of Construction. Moreover, she earned the Woman of Excellence Award and Emerging Leader Award from Floor Focus Magazine, and was named Business Person of the Year in 2018 by the Rochester Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Council. Among Ms. Reinhard’s most significant achievements, she successfully grew GP Flooring Solutions from having eight employees to more than 50 alongside a tenfold increase in revenue. She fosters a strong company culture by creating a great place to work, emphasizing the importance of her team’s happiness and accomplishments.

In preparation for her storied career, Ms. Reinhard graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in organizational studies in 2000. She later earned a Master of Education in leadership and management from Harvard University in 2010. Ms. Reinhard credits her excellent education with shaping her into a strategic thinker and problem solver and notes that these abilities have been crucial to her overall professional success.

Parallel to her primary roles, Ms. Reinhard serves as a corporate board member at ITX Corp., chairs the advancement committee at the Rochester Area Community Foundation, and advises the Fuse Alliance. She is a founding board member of the Innova Girls Academy and is an adviser for a CO2 emission startup. Looking ahead, Ms. Reinhard aims to contribute to environmental sustainability and have a positive impact on the planet. She is committed to continuing to develop her leadership skills and finding opportunities to contribute to “the greater good.” Away from working or serving her community, she enjoys skiing and participating in community theater as a trained and accomplished triple threat—dancer singer, and actress.
