For over a decade, Dr. Amy Dryman has been recognized for achievements in her career in research and development. Through her professional efforts, she seeks to increase knowledge of relevant factors affecting the health of people.
After receiving a Doctor of Science in 1987, Dr. Dryman was employed as a Research Associate at Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health (now Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health). She received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1981. As an epidemiologic researcher, Dr. Dryman sought to contribute to an improved understanding of risk factors for mental disorders. Her first-author research papers have been included in professional publications. She also has presented research at professional meetings, such as the World Psychiatric Association Section of Epidemiology and Community Psychiatry.
Dr. Dryman was hired by Pfizer Inc. as a Project Leader in 1993 after first serving as a consultant. During a decade of professional experience at the company’s office in New York (e.g., in Clinical Data Operations and Development Operations), Dr. Dryman was also employed as an Assistant Director and Manager in quality control and standards. Some of her responsibilities included conducting and supervising quality-control reviews of listings and statistical tables using clinical trial data. She also managed reviews of departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Dr. Dryman is committed to ongoing professional development and is a member of several relevant organizations. When she has spare time, Dr. Dryman enjoys following news and sports. She also contributes to various charities that are relevant to her personal and professional concerns.
In recognition of her professional efforts, Dr. Dryman earned the Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, and has been featured in numerous editions of Marquis Who’s Who publications, such as: Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of American Women.
