A distinguished expert in food safety standards and quality assurance, KayLonni D. Bradley has demonstrated a commitment to her work within the food production industry. Over the course of nearly 15 years at Seaboard Foods, she has held a range of key positions, each marking a significant milestone in her professional journey. Most recently, Ms. Bradley has served as the company’s director of food safety and quality assurance (FSQA) since 2022, guiding a team of approximately 125 people through the complexities of regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Her most significant achievement in this role has been enhancing collaboration between the FSQA team and the facility production team, successfully fostering a culture of excellence across both.
Throughout her career, Ms. Bradley has set herself apart through a proactive approach to implementing preventative measures and a dedication to understanding emerging food safety concerns. Her previous roles at Seaboard Foods include FQSA manager and regulatory food safety manager. Ms. Bradley first joined the company in 2012 after completing a management training program for recent graduates. Within months of joining, she was promoted to the position of production supervisor, where she spent nearly five years developing her leadership skills. During this period, she concurrently took on responsibilities as an assistant general foreman, further broadening her expertise within the organization.
Beyond her work at Seaboard Foods, Ms. Bradley works alongside her brother to run Williams Family Club Lambs, where she contributes to raising show lambs that provide youth across the United States with opportunities to participate in 4-H and Future Farmers of America events. This family endeavor reflects her lifelong connection to agriculture and animal husbandry.
Prior to embarking upon her professional journey, Ms. Bradley sought a strong academic foundation. She initially obtained an associate degree from Seward County Community College. Subsequently, Ms. Bradley earned a bachelor’s degree in food science from Kansas State University in 2011. This education has been integral to her success in navigating complex regulatory environments and leading multidisciplinary teams.
Ms. Bradly remains active membership in several industry organizations, further enhancing her ability to effectively contribute. Among others, she is affiliated with the Professional Animal Auditor Certification Organization, the American Meat Science Association and the Safe Quality Food Institute’s Technical Writing Group for the 10th edition of its code. These associations support her ongoing commitment to professional development and industry engagement.
Having worked extensively in the traditionally male-dominated food packing industry, Ms. Bradley recognizes bot the challenges and progress made over the past decade regarding workplace culture and diversity. She values the evolution she has witnessed among employees and management alike.
Outside of her professional commitments, Ms. Bradley serves on the Wild West Extension District Board. She is deeply involved in civic activities that benefit local youth, including supporting local 4-H clubs and programs for children.
