Joni Lipkowitz, MBA

Joni Lipkowitz, MBA has excelled as the vice president of value engineering at Innovapptive in Houston, Texas since 2026. In this capacity, she leads value-engineering initiatives for a rapidly growing software company focused on the execution of industrial artificial intelligence. Her responsibilities include driving strategy and advancing the company’s initiatives as it prepares for a Series C funding round. Innovapptive’s mission to empower frontline workers through digitization and artificial intelligence aligns closely with Ms. Lipkowitz’s commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

Prior to joining Innovapptive, Ms. Lipkowitz worked as the senior director of presales for artificial intelligence at C3 AI from 2025 to 2026. During this time, she led presales activities and supported go-to-market strategies for enterprise artificial intelligence solutions, further deepening her expertise in industrial artificial intelligence execution and connected worker platforms.

From 2017 to 2025, Ms. Lipkowitz advanced through several progressive roles at Aspen Technology in Houston, Texas. She began as a senior business consultant in 2017, advancing to principal business consultant in 2018 and senior principal solution consultant in 2019. By 2020, she was appointed as the manager of solution consulting for Latin America, followed by senior manager of solution consulting for North America from 2022 to 2025. During her tenure, she also briefly led the European team and was celebrated for her leadership in asset performance management and digital transformation projects across global markets.

Ms. Lipkowitz began her career as a project assistant and intern with ConocoPhillips and Rose-Hulman Ventures in 2007, a bulk pharmaceutical processing engineering intern with Lilly USA LLC in 2008, and a wireline logging field engineering intern with Shlumberger in 2009. She subsequently held multiple posts with Honeywell International between 2010 and 2014, including as a FCC pilot plant operations manager, a process engineer, and the chief technical adviser in field operating services. From 2014 to 2015, she was active as a consultant at KBC Yokogawa, dedicating significant time in coastal Ecuador as a niche refinery consultant, where she implemented best-practice plans for refiners and led business process improvement workstreams. Ms. Lipkowitz also found success as  a senior consultant at Worley, formerly known as Jacobs Consultancy, in Houston from 2015 to 2016, where she helped validate operational viability for financial institutions and contributed to successful project outcomes.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lipkowitz has distinguished herself through her strong work ethic, proactive approach and deep curiosity about different cultures and experiences. Her extensive travel—spanning fifty-two countries across six continents—has provided her with a unique global perspective that informs her leadership style and professional achievements. Moreover, Ms. Lipkowitz is recognized as an expert in asset performance management, artificial intelligence-powered connected worker platforms and industrial artificial intelligence execution.

Ms. Lipkowitz is a member of several organizations including the Women’s Energy Network, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the Society of Women Engineers and the MIT Alumni Club of South Texas. She credits much of her success to strong mentorship throughout her journey and is committed to supporting others by fostering resilience, perseverance and continuous improvement.

To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Lipkowitz pursued an education at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, from which she earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering with minors in German and Spanish in 2010. She later graduated from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a Master of Business Administration in 2025. Throughout her career, she likewise obtained multiple certifications from the likes of AspenTech, The Landmark Forum, Toastmasters International, The TEFL Institute Ltd, and University of the People, among others. Furthermore, Ms. Lipkowitz was honored as valedictorian upon her graduation from Heritage High School in 2006.

Ms. Lipkowitz attributes her achievements to hard work, perseverance and an unwavering support system that includes her parents—who served as role models—her teachers, professors and mentors who guided her development as well as friends and family who inspired her ambitions. She is especially grateful for the encouragement provided by her husband during her pursuit of her MBA. Ms. Lipkowitz notably enjoys traveling—a passion reflected by extensive international experience that continues to shape her worldview both personally and professionally.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Ms. Lipkowitz is civically engaged as an industry adviser with Framework Venture Partners since 2025. She participates on both the career services committee and board membership committee as part of the alumni advisory board at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology since 2024. A supporter of Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston, she demonstrates commitment to community service beyond her industry contributions. Ms. Lipkowitz has cemented herself as a thought leader through her authorship of numerous publications focused on asset performance management and digital transformation within industrial sectors.

Ms. Lipkowitz’s achievements have been spotlighted with several prestigious accolades including a Silver Bravo Award from Honeywell International in 2012 and three CEO Excellence Awards from AspenTech between 2019 and 2023. In 2020, she was recognized as the Solution Consultant of the Year and a President’s Club Winner at AspenTech. Ms. Lipkowitz was previously inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa – The National Leadership Honor Society in 2009.
