In this role, she leads efficiency reviews, oversees policy development, manages implementation projects for federal rules, and supervises compliance and training departments. Her expertise positions her as the organization’s primary authority on complex compliance issues and a trusted partner to senior leadership teams seeking to strengthen operational integrity.
Ms. Boone’s academic accomplishments have been central to her professional advancement. She earned a master’s degree in health administration and a master’s degree in business administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on health care administration and management from Barry University in Miami Shores. Earlier in her academic journey, she completed an associate degree in industrial and systems engineering from Miami Dade College and earned a paralegal certificate from the University of Miami. This diverse educational foundation has enabled her to navigate the intersection of compliance, operations, and patient advocacy with precision and insight.
Ms. Boone’s leadership at AmeriHealth Caritas reflects a steady progression of responsibility and achievement. As director of corporate compliance, she guided a team of directors in restructuring corporate compliance workflows, developing systems that improved efficiency and reduced regulatory penalties. Before that, she worked as a compliance director and a risk manager, advancing vendor oversight programs and establishing comprehensive risk management strategies. Earlier in her career, as manager of risk management, she designed systems to track incidents by risk level and implemented programs addressing patient safety concerns, including wrong-site surgeries and patient advocacy needs.
Before joining AmeriHealth Caritas, Ms. Boone spent more than a decade at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine as a paralegal investigator. There, she helped create a patient protection program that supported individuals seeking legal assistance and developed a patient advocacy initiative that secured financial recoveries without litigation. She began her professional journey at Florida Cancer Data Systems at the University of Miami, where she contributed to database projects that identified cancer clusters across the United States.
