Karmin R. Jenkins has built a life and career shaped by resilience, leadership, and a commitment to helping families thrive. Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, she was raised by a single mother and left home at a young age, determined to chart her own path despite limited resources. That early determination became the cornerstone of her professional journey, fueling her drive to support others in strengthening family bonds, overcoming challenges and embracing opportunities for growth.

As the business owner and service provider at The Unbreakable Bond and INR’ Healing for Abundant Living, Inc., Ms. Jenkins works as a life coach for women with a specialized emphasis on strengthening relationships between mothers and daughters. She approaches this work with compassion and practical strategies, recognizing the importance of fostering communication and building resilience within families. Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, she is also a senior leader in her church, overseeing multiple ministries and directing an educational training program that equips members with tools for personal and spiritual growth. Her public speaking has extended her reach, including appearances such as delivering a TEDx talk at Hood College in Frederick, Maryland.

Ms. Jenkins’ academic achievements laid the groundwork for her professional path. She earned a master’s degree in social science administration from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor’s degree in social work with a concentration in family practice from Cleveland State University. She also holds certifications as a licensed clinical social worker, certified behavioral consultant and certified encounter life coach. These credentials have equipped her with both the clinical expertise and the coaching skills necessary to guide families toward healthier relationships and stronger connections across generations.

Before establishing her businesses, Ms. Jenkins dedicated more than two decades to working with the United States federal government as a licensed independent social worker. Her responsibilities included hospital discharge planning, crisis intervention, and working with families experiencing child abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. She also contributed to the private sector by supporting adolescents in out-of-home placements, ensuring that vulnerable youth had access to resources and guidance during times of transition. These professional experiences underscored her ability to manage complex cases while remaining centered on the well-being of those she served.

Ms. Jenkins’ military service represents another pivotal dimension of her career. She served both on active duty and in the United States Army Reserve before retiring as a social worker. Her military experience provided her with a unique perspective on family dynamics, particularly in the areas of separation, resilience and reintegration. The combination of her civilian and military roles has made her a trusted voice in addressing the challenges faced by families under pressure, further deepening her expertise in strengthening bonds between parents and children.

Ms. Jenkins has also demonstrated a strong commitment to professional and community engagement. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, Maryland Chapter and Who’s Who Cambridge. She lends her leadership as a board member for Crossed Bridges (crossedBRIDGES, Inc.), an organization dedicated to connecting people and resources to create meaningful social change. These affiliations reflect her dedication to advancing her field while giving back to the communities she serves.

Outside of her professional roles, Ms. Jenkins is deeply devoted to her family. She is the mother of two adult biological children and one adult bonus son by marriage. Her aspiration is for her children to recognize opportunities while discerning the paths that best align with their true purpose. She emphasizes the importance of intentional decision-making and models the values of faith, persistence, and self-compassion that have guided her throughout her own journey.

Ms. Jenkins remains focused on expanding her impact as a life coach, speaker, and leader. Her vision includes continuing her work in strengthening families, empowering women, and deepening her role in leadership development. She is committed to living abundantly while helping others cultivate healthier lives and stronger legacies.
