
Amanda Kristine Koepper, MBA, has built a successful career in human resources, with more than a decade of experience in the field. She currently serves as the director of people and culture at Vital, where she has been instrumental in establishing and managing human resource departments. In this role, she ensures workplace issues are resolved efficiently, balancing the interests of both the company and its employees. Her expertise extends to employee relations and conducting necessary investigations, underscoring her dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Before joining Vital, Ms. Koepper was the director of people operations at Burnalong Inc. from 2022 to 2023. Her human resources career began at Welk Resorts, now Hyatt Vacation Ownership, where she worked from 2017 to 2022. During this time, she transitioned from recruiting to human resources management, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to professional growth. Earlier in her career, she was a senior recruiter at Talent Framework in 2017 and a recruiting coordinator and site recruiter at Wyndham Vacation Ownership from 2014 to 2017. She initially gained experience in people management and administration as a head physical therapy aide at Yosemite Physical Therapy from 2006 to 2014.
Ms. Koepper laid a strong educational foundation, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Merced, where she was part of the second full graduating class. She went on to earn a Master of Business Administration in human resources management and personnel administration from Grand Canyon University in 2019 while working full-time, a testament to her exceptional time management and determination.
Additionally, Ms. Koepper holds certification in open enrollment administration from Rippling, obtained in 2024. She is an active member of industry-related organizations such as the Society for Human Resource Management and the Society for Younger Career-Oriented Individuals, underscoring her commitment to professional development and networking.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Koepper is dedicated to civic engagement. She has served as a public relations advisor for the Tuolumne Fire Advisor since 1998 and mentored young individuals through TeenWorks from 2013 to 2017. Her passion for animal welfare is evident through her involvement with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, where she rescues and walks dogs. Additionally, she supports organizations such as the Northern Nevada Women Society and Veteran Society through donations.
In light of her impressive undertkaings, Ms. Koepper has been honored with the Presidents Circle of Excellence and the Transparency, Trust, and Teamwork award from Welk Resorts. She attributes her success to her determination to improve herself, becoming the first person in her family to attend college and inspiring her younger siblings to follow in her footsteps. Looking ahead, Ms. Koepper aims to continue growing within Vital, aspiring to expand her team and positively influence others in the human resources field. Her ultimate goal is to become a vice president while mentoring and helping as many people as possible along the way. In her personal life, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their dogs, engaging in activities like hiking, fishing, and exploring new adventures with their camper.
