Dr. Rodgers earned her Doctor of Education in health education from Columbia University in 2010, following a Master of Science degree in Public Health, focusing on health behavior and education, from the University of South Carolina in 2003. She began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Applied Science in public health from the University of Georgia in 2001. Dr. Rodgers leverages her training to inform her practice, blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications to drive change. Her credentials include Korn Ferry certifications, including the Architect Certification, Leadership Solutions, and 360 Master. She is also a masters certified health education specialist and holds a DiSC certification, highlighting her proficiency in leadership assessment and health education strategies. Dr. Rodgers founded Proximate Learning, LLC in 2023 and is the company’s principal owner. In this role, she provides strategic consulting services to healthcare and public health organizations, focusing on leadership development, health education, and training. Before establishing her firm, she served as a leadership and learning consultant with Texas Health Resources, contributing to enhancing the organization’s learning and development programs. Her earlier work as a senior learning consultant and principal consultant for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta played a crucial role in developing public health training and educational initiatives. Her academic career is equally distinguished. She was an assistant professor at Georgia College & State University and an adjunct assistant professor and lecturer at Emory University. She led curriculum and program development, enhancing the educational offerings in health promotion and public health.

Beyond her business commitments, Dr. Rodgers is actively involved in civic and community work. She was the development board director for the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. from 2019 to 2024. She is also a consultant for the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power and Potential and a community assessment consultant for the Department of Health’s Women, Infant, and Children’s Program, collaborating with the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Through these roles, Dr. Rodgers shows her passion for improving public health outcomes at the community level, using her expertise to drive strategic planning and capacity building in local groups.
