Romy Martin, MS, BA, credits her success to her unwavering commitment to pursuing her passions. Through determination and perseverance, she has excelled for more than 20 years as a human resources professional and life coach. Since 2023, she has been the owner and life coach of Find Your Strengths Coaching and Consulting LLC, providing individualized life and career coaching services. Ms. Martin offers her services in-person and online, recognizing the advantages of the Internet’s global reach and the power of building connections with real people.

Ms. Martin first became involved in her field because of her deep concern for the state of human resources and the work environment. Emphasizing the importance of finding enjoyment and purpose in one’s profession, Ms. Martin is moved by a desire to help others thrive professionally. She is grateful for the opportunity to help people leverage their strengths, navigate their weaknesses, and maximize their potential. In addition, she stresses the power of robust support and guidance as key factors in building more positive and fulfilling workplace environments. By fostering a helpful and empowering environment, Ms. Martin has facilitated the professional growth of many employees, providing them with opportunities to advance their careers. She always works to remove obstacles and firmly believes that individuals with the right mindset can be trained to excel in their roles.

Before launching her career in human resources, Ms. Martin attended Friends University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in human resources. Following this achievement, she studied at Capella University, earning a Master of Science in industrial and organizational psychology. In 2002, she began her career as a human resources generalist with Mesa Airlines, after which she spent five years as a compliance and immigration specialist with Textron Aviation Inc.’s Cessna Aircraft Company. From 2010 to 2011, Ms. Martin gained experience as a human resources compliance analyst for Bell Textron Inc. She then worked as a human resources generalist at Easton-Bell Sports for two years. Before launching Find Your Strengths Coaching and Consulting LLC, she spent three years as the director and human resources manager at Baylor Scott & White Health.

Most recently, Ms. Martin excelled as Hillwood’s vice president of human resources. As a lifelong learner, she has remained dedicated to professional development throughout her career. She is a certified six sigma green belt and a certified strengths coach. Ms. Martin also completed an advanced leadership certification with the National Society of Leadership and Success and earned a credential in human resource requirements through the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative, also known as the CITI Program.

During her professional experience, Ms. Martin has learned the importance of acknowledging and embracing everyone’s unique qualities. She recognizes that everyone possesses distinct strengths and believes in the value of learning from those around you. Attributing her career achievements to her compassion, empathy, and ability to connect with others, Ms. Martin refuses to take others for granted and stresses the beauty of embracing diversity. Looking to the future, she plans to continue growing her business and expanding her clientele by identifying ways to help individuals from diverse backgrounds. As always, her goal is to assist others in overcoming their perceived limitations, encouraging them to explore their unrealized potential. Ultimately, Ms. Martin hopes to help her clients find happiness and fulfillment while distancing themselves from misery and dissatisfaction in their professional lives.

In her free time, Ms. Martin works as a child advocate with Court Appointed Special Advocates and serves as a host parent with SHARE!, through which she houses international exchange students. When she is not working to help others become the best versions of themselves, Ms. Martin enjoys traveling the world, meeting new people, and exploring new cultures.
