Specializing in professional roofing services, Jennifer Huynh Martin, known professionally as Jennifer Martin, holds more than two decades of diverse professional expertise. For the past 11 years, since 2012, she has excelled as the co-owner of David Martin & Son Roofing LLC in Colleyville, Texas, a renowned roofing company covering ventilation improvements, roof replacements, commercial roofing, gutter systems, leak repairs, missing shingles, tree damage, rodent damage and more. In this capacity, she is responsible for managing daily business operations, supervising material shipments and job sites, contracting new clients, and handling all business financial matters. According to Mrs. Martin, 95% of their customers are either referrals or repeat customers. She loves the social aspect of her work, having built close relationships with numerous customers and listening to many intriguing stories.

Finding vast success in her field, Mrs. Martin has received multiple honors and accolades, including being named one of the Top Women in Business in Society Life Magazine. Through David Martin & Son Roofing LLC, she has led the company to success in being honored as Best Roofing Company in Tarrant County three years in a row, Best Roofer in the City of Colleyville seven years in a row and Best Roofer in the City of Fort Worth for four years. In addition, Society Life Magazine named the business to Tops in Tarrant in 2021 and 2022, and the Top 100 business list in 2023. Mrs. Martin also received a Public Relations Award for Service from both the Colleyville and Fort Worth award programs in 2014.

Among her professional accomplishments, Mrs. Martin is most proud of her ability to identify complex roofing issues and determine her client’s needs when simply speaking to them over the phone, even if she has never met them in person. She is always excited to receive positive feedback and enjoys working with customers of all ages and different walks of life.

To remain abreast of her industry, Mrs. Martin has been active with several industry-related organizations, including professional membership with the National Women’s Business Council. Likewise dedicated to civil advocacy, she contributes to various local establishments in the community, including the Colleyville Lions Club, from which she received the Melvin Jones Award, the highest award presented by the International Lions Club. She is also involved with Save Eagle Mountain Lake, the Red Ribbon Week drug-free elementary school campaign, Colleyville Heritage High School, and Grapevine High School, to name a few.

At the start of her professional journey, Mrs. Martin earned an associate degree from Houston Community College, along with a certificate of completion in dental assisting in 1994. Learning the importance of hard work from a young age, she worked as a manager at her parent’s gas station, convenience store and commercial property business center for many years. Utilizing her dental certification, she also served as an office manager and a dental assistant for 13 years. Reflecting on such a diverse career, Mrs. Martin attributes much of her success to her parents’ teaching, especially her father.

Looking ahead to the future, Mrs. Martin hopes to serve as an example to many budding entrepreneurs, especially Asian women like herself, who, as a first-generation immigrant, came to the United States from Vietnam early in life and has continually strived for success in various male-dominated industries. Similarly, she strongly believes that you do not have to finish higher education to be successful, as there are many opportunities to make a comfortable living and to create a happy harmonious life. She also aspires to become well-known for her specialty in her business area. In her spare time, Mrs. Martin enjoys spending quality time with her husband, David Martin; their two sons, Roland and Jake; and her two dogs, Macallan and Honey.
