Supriya Doshi

Supriya Jay Doshi, BDS, MPH, MBA, is a health care technology innovator and the founder of VDO Solutions, LLC. Ms. Doshi celebrates more than 15 years of expertise in the medical field in both clinical and administrative leadership roles and specializes in helping patients and providers leverage emerging technologies to better access care. She established VDO Solutions, LLC in 2018 as a way to merge her industry background with emerging trends in health care technology, and she continues to lead the company in offering clinicians and industry leaders strategic solutions.

Ms. Doshi began her career as a dentist, seeing patients in the Mumbai area. She completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2007 and began her clinical practice the same year with NM Medical, where she also served as a PR manager. In 2008, Ms. Doshi relocated to the United States to continue her education at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She became a research associate of the school in 2009 and spent an additional year as a research scientist focusing on strategic planning and population health management for the Parkland Health and Hospital System before graduating in 2011 with a Master of Public Health in epidemiology. That year, she transitioned into public health work as a project manager for Los Barrios Unidos Clinics, Inc., and accepted a position as director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, beginning a three-year affiliation with the institution.

Between 2014 and 2016, Ms. Doshi brought her expertise in policy, public health, and emerging health care technologies to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a senior systems integration specialist. In recognition of her high achievement in the role and contributions to the bureau, Ms. Doshi was presented with the CDC’s Women’s Leadership Award in 2015, an honor she considers a career highlight. During this time, she returned to the George Washington University School of Business to pursue her Master of Business Administration in health care, graduating in 2019. She continued to work in health care administration while pursuing her MBA and spent three years as the DSRIP manager for the St. Barnabas Health System, Inc. between 2017 and 2020. In 2020, she accepted a position as the director of oral health programs for HealthEfficient, where she spent a year developing oral-dental health integration programs.

In addition to her work with VDO Solutions, Ms. Doshi has been the practice director at VDO Cardiology PLLC, her husband’s cardiology practice, since 2017. She is an active consultant in her field, including a program management role with the American Physician Institute, and was named director of clinical programs for Rx.Health in 2022. Ms. Doshi continues to work on independent projects, including design and IP development, and she is currently working with vendors to license rights to a new device. She is a fellow of the Academy for Healthcare Management and a member of America’s Health Insurance Plans and the Digital Medicine Society, among other professional organizations. Throughout her career, Ms. Doshi has published more than a dozen professional and scientific papers outlining her developments and research.

In the coming years, Ms. Doshi hopes to continue to work on building her personal brand and further establishing herself as a leader in the digital health and medical technology fields. As a visionary in her industry, she is proud to help pave the way for other female innovators and business leaders to succeed. Outside the professional sphere, Ms. Doshi is a frequent blood donor and a volunteer for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, the Environmental Protection Agency, and local school and park districts. In her personal time, she enjoys teaching Bollywood-style dance and doing crafts projects with her children.
